#009 There are about 50 restaurants and confectionery shops in Tonomachi. This is the second installment of the Gourmet series! We would like to introduce an Udon noodles restaurant that opened in May of the first year of Reiwa and is now popular outside Tonomachi. ~Now it's all "Specialties of Tono"~ Hidenoya Udon noodles (Hinoya Udon noodles) Gari off the Tono Interchange, turn left at the first traffic light, and after a short distance, you will see a sign for "Udon noodles" on your left. That is the "Hidenoya Udon noodles" introduced this time. In most cases, the Car parking lot at lunchtime is Car full. We will introduce the recommended menu of Hidenoya Udon noodles, desserts that only those in the know know, and when you should go at the Time Slot / Time of Day. ◆ Recommended menu (including my recommendation) 〇Vegetable tempura bukkake Udon noodles Vegetables are purchased at Roadside Stations or wholesale directly from farmers. Therefore, all of them are vegetables from Tonomachi. The vegetables are sweet and the batter is crispy! It's addictive!! 〇Meat ball bukkake Udon noodles The simmered beef goes well with the broth and hot balls, and it's delicious!! I recommend this to students and meat Udon noodles lovers! By the way, it is my recommendation. (laughs) In addition, there are also "Ume Plum Grated Bukkake Udon Noodles" and "Cold Zaru Udon Noodles" that you will want to eat this season, as well as a set menu of Udon noodles and tempura! Here, we will also introduce a surprisingly unknown dessert after a aftermeal. It is "homemade soy milk pudding". In fact, there are customers who come for this dessert and this pudding. I sometimes go there for this. But it's delicious because it's eaten after Udon noodles! Homemade looks delicious, doesn't it? Black honey and powder are sprinkled from the top of the pudding, and its smoothness and slight sweetness give you an Impression that you have never eaten before. I lived in Kagawa for university, so I ate a lot of Chewy Udon noodles and delicious Udon noodles. However, the noodles at "Hidenoya Udon noodles" are chewy, and you can feel the Commitment in the broth and ingredients, and they are unique, so I personally think that "Hidenoya Udon noodles" is the most delicious. I was surprised by the Commitment and delicacy of the manager of this shop. When you stop by Tonomachi, be sure to come and eat the exquisite Udon noodles. Finally, when is the best Time Slot / Time of Day? Weekdays, it is recommended to come at the same time as the store opens or after 1:30. It depends on the day, but this Time Slot / Time of Day is good! On Vacation days, it is basically full! ◆ Outline of the store Business hours 11:00~14:30 Regular holiday Tuesday (with temporary closure) ☎ 0983-32-8311 Instagram⇒@hinoyaudon

#008 【Sightseeing spot Special Feature Part 2 ✨】 Introducing the Sightseeing spot "Tono Winery" where you can overlook Tono Town! I will do my best to make you want to go! Tono wine has won numerous awards both in Japan and abroad! The Tono Winery where the wine is produced is packed with various charms. We will introduce such wines and Winery. ◆ About Tono Wine Originally, Miyazaki Prefecture had a shochu culture, so wine had not penetrated easily, and it was said that the environment was unfavorable for grape cultivation. Nevertheless, Tono Wine is made with the idea of "making world-class wines" by inheriting the foundation built by "Eitomo Hyakuji", who continued to challenge Cultivation of grapes. Speaking of Tono wine, it is a Rose wine from Campbell Early, but in fact, this wine was selected as one of the "100 Best Wines in the World" by the wine report in 2004, and this Rose has many repeat customers even now. Many wines are awarded in domestic and international competitions and awards every year, so there are many people who come to buy Tono wine not only from within the prefecture but also from outside the prefecture and from outside the country, and order online. There are wines that are easy to drink even for those who are not good at wine, and there are wines that use not only grapes but also Miyazaki's Specialties "Mango". What kind of place is Tono Winery where such Tono wine is made? ◆What kind of place is Tono Winery? Tono Winery spreads out on the Makiuchi Plateau surrounded by the Hyuga-nada and Osuzu mountain range. Since you can overlook Tonomachi, it is also famous as a night view Spot and a superb view Spot for the town's fireworks festival. Visiting the site is also available, as this place has shops with wine and bakeries, Brewery and vineyards. Thereare is not usually allowed into the Brewery, so I don't know much about how it is made, but there is a place in the shop where you can see a little inside. You'll be surprised at how big the machine is! Also, I have never been to and vineyard myself. However, there is a row of grapes planted next to the cars parking lot, so you can have a simulated experience. And most of all, the shop! There are dozens of wines in this shop, and the descriptions are written in detail, making it easy to choose even if you don't know. Also, if you can't choose, it's a good idea to ask someone nearby who is familiar with wine. In addition to wine, there are many "Snacks" that go well with the wine, so it will be a time of happiness for wine lovers. In addition, this shop also has a bakery, so many people come for bread. There are many types of bread, and the type changes from day to day, so it is one of the Traditional Japanese straw raincoats. Please stop by when you come to Tonomachi. Now, the next Sightseeing spot Special Feature is "Roadside Station", the gateway to the road in Tonomachi. Please look forward to!!

"Uenohara Ruins of the Castle" This is the view from Mt. Gozen in the early 1955 (Showa 30)'s century. The circled area in the center of the photo is where Uenohara Castle was located. The moat on the west side had been filled in before the central road was built, but the moat-enclosed land called the river terrace would have been a great place to keep the enemy out. It is the residence of the Furugori clan of the Heian period and the Kato clan of the Sengoku period.

The elders of Kuraoka Nursery School and the first-year students of Kuraoka Elementary School got together to make 🤗 Ume Plum Juice and Umeboshi Fresh Ume plums 😳💕 that the children had harvested abundantly at the Ume Plum Orchard in the Kuraoka district the day before While learning how to make it from "Dr. Ume Plum" who lives in the Kuraoka area, everyone packed the processing plums in jars ... After this, they take it back to school, turn it over every day, and grow 💪 it until the water content rises I'm 🥰 looking forward to 💡 the next step in the season when red shiso comes out The children who have become Dr. Ume Plum today seem to be bringing Ume Plums home with them, so they will enjoy 🤩✨ processing them while teaching them to their families

Minami-cho Tourism Association
Jun. 16, 2025
Good evening everyone! This is the Minami Town Tourism Association. Today, June 16, is World Sea Turtle Day. It is said to be a day to nurture the feeling of caring for sea turtles and call for their protection. So today, I would like to introduce you to Ohama Coast, the spawning ground of sea turtles that our Minami Town is proud of! A sandy beach about 500 meters long located in Hiwasoura, Minami-cho, Kaibu-gun, Tokushima Prefecture, is the Ohama Coast. As the name suggests, "big beach" is the origin of the name, and there is Thereare Obama at the mouth of the Hiwasa River, which streams nearby. Just off the coast of Coast is Tachishima, and it is said that it was once possible to walk to the island at low tide. Ohama Coast is famous as a spawning ground for sea turtles, and in 1967 it was designated as a national natural monument under the name of "Sea Turtle and Spawning Grounds of Ohama Coast". Since 1950, statistics on the number of loggerhead sea turtles have been collected, and in 1968, 308 landings were confirmed. However, since 1996, the number of landings has been in the double digits, and since then the number has decreased to the single digits. Finally, in 2018, the number of eggs laid fell to zero for the first time since statistics began, and in 2023, the number of landings was also zero. Even so, Minami Town has been working hard to protect the environment of Ohama Coast, and last year, sea turtles were confirmed to have landed and laid eggs in Ohama Coast in two years yellowtail, and this year, on June 12, the first loggerhead sea turtle landed and laid eggs of the year! They are expected to hatch in early August! In order to protect the Ohama Coast, which is easy for sea turtles to land and lay eggs, Ohama Coast strives to protect the environment by restricting entry to the Coast at night and prohibiting both cars from passing in the vicinity from mid-May ~ mid-August every year. When you come to Minami, please cooperate in protecting the environment and protecting the safety of sea turtles. And while thinking about the sight of the Ohama Coast crowded with sea turtles again, please Enjoy the magnificent Nature! !!
