It is a "Hinamatsuri" event in Hagi City, Yamaguchi Prefecture. At the former Yamamura family residence in the Hamasaki Denken district, a checkered doll called "Hoko-san" was also on display. "Hoko-san and Hoko dolls" are generally given to celebrate the first festival of a baby girl. In the past, they were dressed in maternity clothes, which were also given to the celebration, and decorated with Hina dolls. It seems like everyone is staring at you, and I'm a little intimidated.

Nestled along the banks of the Arashiyama River in Kyoto, a scene unfolds that whispers of Japan's timeless beauty and rich heritage. Here, where the past meets the present, the leaves of the trees sway in the breeze and gently cascade onto the water's surface like delicate memories. The river, a silent witness to centuries gone by, reflects the vibrant hues of the foliage and the graceful curves of the ancient bridge of Togetsu-kyo. This photograph is not just a snapshot in time but a promise to preserve these views of Japan's serene landscapes for the future, ensuring that the essence of this magical place endures for generations to come..

It is a World Heritage Site, but it is lit up three times a year. The other day, there was a winter illumination event, so I went there. This time, I made a reservation half a year ago, so I was able to stay lodging in a 200-year-old gassho-zukuri minshuku, and thanks to that, I was able to fully enjoy the nostalgic original scenery of Japan. In addition to the illumination at night, the quiet early morning walk, which is only possible for those who stayed at the lodging, was exceptional.

Photographed on February 26 The early-blooming Oshima cherry in Nagisa Elementary Park is now at its best. This large cherry is said to be a cultivar created by crossing Oshima-zakura with Somei-yoshino, and it usually reaches peak bloom from early to mid-March each year. Perhaps because temperatures have been high this year, it is already in full bloom! The tree has many flower buds and is truly impressive.
