Hello! I'm Minamoto. I've started to feel hints of autumn in the morning and evening breeze. Currently, Senga Falls in Shosenkyo Gorge is experiencing increased water flow, with milky water cascading fiercely down. The thunderous roar shakes the surrounding air, making conversations nearly impossible due to the powerful waterfall. It's truly a breathtaking sight that can only be seen a few times a year! When you visit Shosenkyo, be sure to come and see this view. Additionally, on September 1st of the 8th year of Reiwa, the results of the "Comprehensive Evaluation and Continuation Review for the 8th Year of Reiwa" were announced by the Agency for Cultural Affairs. This time, Shosenkyo has been designated as a "Continuing Certification" for Japan Heritage! Furthermore, it has been recognized as a "Key Support Area" due to expectations for future initiatives as a model for other regions. This is a photo taken when I went to Kokoen Garden in Himeji to see the autumn leaves. The vibrant colors of the foliage and the waterfall, which stands out in the tranquility, beautifully represent Japan's fall, creating a breathtaking scene! At the same time, I could also feel the joy and depth of photography.

Azumino, a rice-producing region, is known for its traditional landscape of "haze-gake" (rice drying). Although this scene has become rare due to the widespread use of combines... the rice is slowly dried in the sun, resulting in delicious rice. 😄

The sunny landscape of Azumino revealed Mt. Jonen. Lately, rainy days have continued, preventing us from seeing the typical scenery of Azumino... It's a landscape that indicates autumn is approaching.

The flowing water emerging from Azumino is nourished by the spring water from the Northern Alps, cultivating wasabi and Shinshu Salmon. Aquatic plants sway gently, creating a pleasant atmosphere. 😆

After a long time, it’s clear and sunny in Azumino. Perhaps due to the strong winds, the sky shows lenticular clouds, and the weather forecast suggests it might become a midsummer day.

The sunset in Kushiro, known as one of the three great sunsets in the world. From autumn to winter, when the air is clear, it is especially a beautiful season to enjoy the scenery. It takes about five minutes on foot from Nusamai Bridge, one of the three famous bridges in Hokkaido, to Kushiro Prince Hotel. Mentaiko! Spiced pollock roe, even when translated into English, isn't immediately familiar for many native speakers. "Spicy fish eggs" gets the meaning across clearly, but isn't likely to win any new converts. For either committed fans or the merely curious though, there are Mentai Parks that combine a large variety of mentai-flavored foods, a production line where Mentaiko is made, and a surprisingly expansive play area complete with games, slides, trick art and even a theater showing Mentaiko videos, all at no entry fee. Visitors can watch the magic happen with windows that offer a behind-the-scenes look at Mentaiko production, or hear about Mentaiko-related trivia from a cheerful Mentaiko professor character. That there should be one such Mentai Park would be a curiosity, an idiosyncrasy of Japan, which can often be found celebrating things seen as oddities from a more global perspective, but in fact there are no less than a half dozen, spreading west to east from Kobe, Biwako, Tokoname, Izu, Gunma and Oarai. If you are in the area of one, you could do far worse than visit. The food court offers Mentaiko (of course) and very little else, but that can take the form of onigiri, noodle dishes, baguettes, or even ice cream. There is a free tea dispenser, which is a further nice gesture. You may find yourself coming home with a cuddly soft spiced pollock roe toy, or awaken a new love of mentaiko-flavored ice cream. Whatever the case, the price is right, and its sure to be a distinct and pleasant experience.

The Golden Tunnel in Nagoya The row of ginkgo trees along Sakuradoori in Naka Ward, Nagoya City, shines in golden hues during autumn, delighting the eyes of passersby. In the background, skyscrapers like the Nagoya Lucent Tower in Ushijimacho, Nishi Ward, create a beautiful contrast between nature and the city, symbolizing autumn in Nagoya. I was moved by the richness of nature right in the heart of the city and pointed my camera.

This photo was taken at the historical site "Odoi mound" of Kitano Tenmangu in Kamigyō-ku, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The vibrant red and yellow trees illuminated beautifully, along with the carpet of fallen leaves at my feet, adorn the autumn nights of Kyoto splendidly. Captivated by the beauty of the illuminated tunnel of autumn leaves and the carpet of fallen leaves, I pressed the shutter to capture the enchanting deepening of autumn and its tranquil presence.

This is a photograph of the moss-covered thatched roof of Horyuin Temple, located in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. As autumn deepens, the surrounding foliage turns vibrant colors, creating a stunning contrast with the green moss. Combined with the stone-paved path, it presents a breathtaking view that evokes a sense of tranquility and the spirit of wabi-sabi. I was captivated by the heaviness of the moss-covered thatched roof and the vivid autumn leaves enveloping it. I strongly felt the desire to capture this quiet moment where the passage of time and the beauty of nature coexist.

Nisshoin Temple in the colorful autumn, a single golden leaf. Located in Sagano, Kyoto, Nisshoin Temple is known as a famous spot for autumn foliage and is a Tendai sect temple. The maple trees lining both sides of the stone steps leading to the temple are breathtaking. It enshrines Shaka Nyorai and Amitabha Buddha. Focusing on the vibrant yellow leaves in the foreground, I wanted to capture the stone steps of red leaves leading deeper into the temple, expressing the tranquility of this historic temple and the fleeting beauty of deepening autumn.

The Brick Bridge Carrying the Autumn of the Ancient Capital This brick arch bridge is the Suirokaku Aqueduct, located within the grounds of Nanzenji Temple in Sakyo Ward, Kyoto City. It was constructed as part of the Biwako Sosui to channel water from Lake Biwa into Kyoto City, and water still flows through it today. It is one of the iconic landscapes of Nanzenji, where retro architecture blends with rich nature. I was captivated by the contrast between the retro Suirokaku, which retains the charm of the Meiji era, and the vividly colored autumn leaves. I wanted to capture the weight of history and the passage of the seasons in a single shot, so I pressed the shutter.

Kyoto Daikaku-ji is the headquarters of the Shingon sect located in Saga, Ukyo Ward, Kyoto City, Kyoto Prefecture. The important cultural property, Ōsawa Pond, is said to have been a place where Heian aristocrats enjoyed boating, and its beautiful nature continues to captivate many people. I was captivated by the beauty of the autumn leaves reflected on the surface of Ōsawa Pond. I strongly desired to capture the fantastical scenery created by its vibrant colors.
