It’s still hot in here Suwa city. It is abnormal!!! When I was child, after Lake Suwa’s firework festival gradually to change to autumn. But, today is still 30 Celsius… Hopefully, autumn should come soon!!! I’ll introduce to Suwa’s autumn leaves. The Suwa city is basin surrounded by mountains. We have so many kinds of trees. So, you can see many kinds of autumn leaves red color. Do you know what color will be change ginkgo leaf? It will be change to green to yellow. You can see ginkgo trees autumn leaves! It is also beautiful!!! Near the Lake Suwa, we have Katakura-kan(they are famous for building and hot spring) they have gingko tree and maple. You’ll see red(maple) and yellow(ginkgo) color harmony with historical building. How awesome spot it is!!! At the Kirigamine, you’ll see Japanese pampas grass all over the place. That’s seasonal tradition. At the Mushou tower or Nagikama shrine, you are going to see fantastic view. You may see Northern alps, Central alps, Southern alps, Yatsugatake peaks and Mt, Fuji!!! Can you believe that??? Trust me! “Seeing is Believing” If it is sunny, you’ll see all these mountains 360-degree view!!! I recommend to Mushou tower or Nagikama Shrine. Please come to see autumn leaves in Suwa. And tell me your favorite autumn leaves spot in Suwa. Then put #visitsuwaautumn to post to Instagram!!!

Nara Park 2022.11.03 The Morning Sun was shining brightly. Kasuga-Taisha Shrine, a shrine located in Nara Park, is the headquarters of about 3,000 Kasuga-Taisha Shrines throughout Japan and is also recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. One of the main God of worship enshrined at Kasuga-taisha Shrine, Takemikazuchi no Mikoto, was originally the god of Kashima Jingu Shrine in Ibaraki Prefecture. In the second year of Jingo Kageun Jingoken (768), Taketsuchi came from Kashima Jingu to Mount Spring on a white deer. At this time, it is said that the white deer on which Taketsuchi was riding gave birth to a child in Nara, which is the Roux of Nara's deer.

Sano-kaze Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo On this day, food lover Kasai visited Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo. This hand-baked senbei shop has been at this location for about 35 years. On the day, President Hiroko Kitahara, who also bakes the senbei, showed us around. Stepping inside, the first thing that struck me was the wide variety. For a true senbei fan like Kasai, the selection was almost bewildering 🍘. Among them were many kinds, including shimi senbei and lacquered senbei. Popular No.1 is nori No.2 is twice-dipped No.3 is apple senbei Next is nozawana wasabi Nozawana wasabi is quite unusual, isn’t it? You often see nozawana in prefectural souvenir shops, but “nozawana wasabi” is rare. Apple, nozawana, and wasabi are all Nagano specialties. Quince is a specialty of Suwa. Apricot, matcha, white sugar, brown sugar, shichimi, ichimi, miso, negi miso, walnut miso, garlic, and more… There may be more varieties here than anywhere else in Nagano Prefecture. Kasai’s recommendations are “garlic” and “twice-dipped.” The garlic offers a subtle garlic aroma, while the twice-dipped has a rich, well-infused flavor that lets you enjoy the savory depth of soy sauce. Because they are hand-baked, the texture is superb—this shop is recommended for those who like firm senbei. Among the standout items is “Fukutoku”!!! Some of you may recognize the name “Fukutoku.” It was made by President Kitahara’s grandfather. Unlike fortune cookies, Fukutoku contains a lucky charm inside!!! President Kitahara has apparently succeeded in reviving it in her generation, wanting to restore it somehow. And above all, Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo is hand-baked and right in front of the Grand Shrine!!! They sell by hand, and the shop sits very close to the torii of the Main Shrine ⛩. When visiting Suwa Grand Shrine’s Main Shrine, be sure to look for your favorite flavor or souvenirs at Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo, and take a stroll along the North Approach. ◎ Shinshu Teyaki Senbei Honpo 📍 201 Nakasu, Suwa City, Nagano Prefecture 392-0015 (Suwa Grand Shrine North Approach) ☎ 0266-58-1235 Hours: Weekdays 9:30 AM–4:30 PM (may vary) : Sat, Sun, and holidays 9:00 AM–5:00 PM ◎ Closed: Open year-round

Hello, this is En'emon Folklore Museum. While daytime can still be warm, the mornings and evenings are beginning to carry a cool autumn breeze! Drawn by a clear, endless blue sky, I took a rare stroll out to the Ishimon area, and under the tree shade a pleasant wind swept through.✨ There are only three months left in the year now that October has arrived. The birthstone for October, tourmaline, is said to carry an electrical charge and be good for health. It is also believed to dispel negative influences and shift the mind toward positive thinking. Why not feel the richness of nature and experience the history of the Japan Heritage site and the power of stone? Please stop by En'emon Folklore Museum during your walk♪ We look forward to seeing you 😃

Many visitors continue to come to the area around Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop. Here are the red spider lilies near Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop as of yesterday. Yesterday, at the Oyama Fire Festival bonfire Noh performance, I enjoyed the mystical world lit by the torches! The red spider lilies along the Oyama Shindo are also at their best! Don’t miss them!! ※There are few buses, so please check the schedule in advance. Parking lots may become crowded depending on the day and time. Please observe good manners and enjoy your walk. *Please use the Hinata red spider lily guide map placed inside the can at the restroom entrance in the Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop Parking Area and in the back parking lot of the Skills Development Center (8:30–16:00).

The cosmos field in front of the back parking lot of the Skills Development Center in the Arouzu area is also beautiful. The parking area beside Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop is full, and many visitors continue to come. This shows the current condition of the higanbana near Hinata Yakushi Bus Stop today. According to local residents, many buds remain, so the flowers should stay beautiful through this week and next. Please note that bus services are limited, so check schedules in advance. Parking lots may become crowded depending on the day and time. Please enjoy your walk while observing proper manners.
