Akita prefecture is a breathtaking destination that boasts of magnetic wilderness and a perfect climate for growing the most delicious apples you have ever tasted. During my recent visit to the Yokote Kamakura Festival, my eyes were caught by the sight of sugar-coated, bright-red Akita apples that looked incredibly tempting. Without second thoughts, I grabbed one and took a bite. The sweetness was unlike anything I had ever tasted before, and it left me craving for more. It was truly an exhilarating experience!

It is a World Heritage Site, but it is lit up three times a year. The other day, there was a winter illumination event, so I went there. This time, I made a reservation half a year ago, so I was able to stay lodging in a 200-year-old gassho-zukuri minshuku, and thanks to that, I was able to fully enjoy the nostalgic original scenery of Japan. In addition to the illumination at night, the quiet early morning walk, which is only possible for those who stayed at the lodging, was exceptional.

Norn minakami is a flower paradise situated in Minakami, Gunma. Many daffodils and tulip blooms here. On backdrop a snow capped Japanese alps also can be seen. A really a memorable experience.

In the middle of Hokkaido, Biei is a hill town. In the summer, it is full of tourists, but in the winter, Biei is also wonderful. The moment the snow-covered hills shine in the morning sun, the whole area is dyed gold.
