Went down to Takamatsu over the 3 day weekend last week. It was the first time either one of us had been to Shikoku before and it was a lot of fun. I'm surprised it's not talked about more, as there's so much stuff to do. We stayed near Takamatsu pretty much the whole time and we still didn't get to visit every place that we wanted to go. The first day mostly consisted of Ritsurin Park. The park garden itself was quite large and there was a lot of beautiful sights to see. We really wanted to go on the boat ride throughout the park's pond, but unfortunately it started to rain just a tiny bit and they closed the boat for the rest of the day, just before we arrived... ☔️ Even still we had a lot of fun walking around the park. There were a lot of koi and turtles swimming in the pond too. We stopped by a small cafe-like building inside the park and i got an ice cream float and she got a coffee. In front of the shop one of the custodians came by with a big bucket of fish food and created a feeding frenzy amongst the koi. I'm pretty sure I saw a single catfish in there as well. After we finished our drinks we climbed to one of the best viewing spots in the park which had a really amazing view of the bridge and the pond. You can see the people on the boat we didn't get to ride too lol🥲 The one building shown in photo 9 was actually a tea house where I think you could try traditional tea ceremony and eat sweets as well, but they also seemed to offer just a normal tea drinking experience as well. We decided not to try it, but if you like tea ceremony it looked quite nice.

Turquoise sea and red torii gate are two most popular attractions of Shirahama. Summer is undoubtedly best time to visit here and I had some great memories during our last trip to Shirahama.

Sea Lights Festival in Odaiba Every year on Marine Day in July, a candle is lit in a seven-colored paper bag to pray for the safety of the sea, and a pageant of lights is woven on Odaiba Beach.

The annual festival of Tomioka Hachimangu is held around August 15th. Also commonly known as the "Fukagawa Hachiman Festival", it is counted as one of the "Three Great Festivals of Edo" along with the Sanno Festival of Hie Shrine in Akasaka and the Kanda Festival of Kanda Myojin. The year in which the Hachimangu shrine's shrine goes to shrine once every three years is called the main festival, and the sight of 53 town mikoshi coming together to make a joint crossing is unique to the Fukagawa Hachiman Festival. The festival in Fukagawa is characterized by the traditional shouting of "Washoi, Wasshiyoi" and the alias of the "Mizukake Festival", in which the bearers and spectators are showered with purifying water from the crowd along the road, and the bearers and spectators are excited as one, and it has been carefully passed down by many people as a festival that conveys the essence of Edo to the present.

When I stopped at Dogo Onsen, I was guided by the sound of wind chimes in the corridor It was 😌 beautiful.

I was finally able to visit Shimonada Station in Ehime, which I had wanted to go to for a long timeIt 😀 was a nice station with an atmosphere.

When I stopped by the wind chime festival of Kogenji Temple in Tamba, the Tanabata atmosphere in the assembly hall was good and my dog was also photographed with wishes.

Aina Satoyama Park It is located in the city, and it is the only place where you can experience like the countryside, and I thought that this kind of experience was necessary for children now, so I visited every year and it was a nostalgic place and it became a filming location for the movie "Rurouni Kenshin".

Summer temporaneous hot afternoon in Kamikawa

Just being here temporarily in Aina Satoyama Park, which I visit every year, is healing 😀.

This is a large kaleidoscope photo I found when I went to Nagahama with a friend in July this year! It was dome-shaped, and if you manually turned the lever, you could see a beautiful kaleidoscope inside. I took this picture because the outside was beautiful spinning like a windmill.

Hokkaido is a great summer destination as this place is less humid than other parts of Japan during summer and more flowery. This summer flower park, shikisainooka , is one such place that is very popular during that time. Its a kind of flower paradise. Very relaxing and eye shootings.
