Cherry Blossom Report for Mitake Mountain Cherry Road ❚ As of March 30, 2026 Along the road on MtOntake in Kiyokawa-cho, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, about 1,200 cherry trees line the route. The roadside trees include jindai akebono and Somei Yoshino. Somei Yoshino are in bloom and at their best. Jindai akebono has begun to fall. Jindai akebono petals are a slightly deeper pink than Somei Yoshino. Somei Yoshino are at peak bloom, but rain is a concern. The views are excellent, so this spot is also recommended for a drive. Isehara Flower Report – March 30, 2026 Here is today's update on cherry blossom blooming in Isehara City. Somei-yoshino cherry trees are blooming beautifully across the city and are now at their best. Around Isehara Station, you can casually enjoy hanami at Isehara Daijingu, Kanzan Park, and Chizu Park. Cherry blossoms are also at their peak at Sannomiya Hibita Shrine, Hinata Yakushi, Jyohatsu-ganji Temple, the General Sports Park, and Fujiyama Park. On MtOoyama, blooms are progressing around Kasumi Bridge, while the Ooyama cherry trees are still a little short of full bloom. Along the Shibuta River, you can enjoy cherry blossoms together with moss phlox, creating a colorful, spring-like scene along the riverbank.

Minami Shinshu Cherry Blossom Report — A fleeting dream floating in the nightfall. Here are last night’s (March 27) nocturnal cherry blossoms from Minami Shinshu. This year the blooms came earlier than usual, and their full splendor stood out in the stillness of the night. Lit from below, they seemed almost alive. 📸 Lineup ①② Azumi no Sato Butai-zakura: The ancient tree’s power is overwhelming when lifted by the lights. ③④ Ishizuka no Sakura: Its branches reach into the night sky with strength and grace. ⑤⑥ Koubaiin Temple weeping cherry: A cascading curtain of rosy blossoms. ⑦⑧ Senshoji Temple weeping cherry: The temple setting lends it a sacred aura. Date photographed: 2026.3.27 A night-time magic found only in this season and this place. Come and quietly gaze up at a spring night that you must experience in person. When it comes to cherry blossoms in Nagano City, this is the place to go! Here are the classic cherry blossom spots to visit 🌸 1. Kourinji Temple You can see a weeping cherry tree about 300 years old as well as many Somei-Yoshino cherry trees. Many people photograph the stately blossoms and the temple grounds. Typical peak season: mid-April Location: 2329 ShinonoiKomatsubara, Nagano City Parking: Available 2. Shiroyama Park Located just east of Zenkoji Temple, this is Nagano City’s top cherry blossom spot, with about 470 Somei-Yoshino trees in full bloom. The tunnel of blossoms at peak bloom is stunning! Typical peak season: mid to late April Location: Hakoshimizu, Nagano City Parking: Available Lot 1: 155 spaces, Lot 2: 123 spaces, Lot 3: 155 spaces 100 yen up to 20 minutes, plus 100 yen for each additional 20 minutes If you present a Nagano City Childcare Passport when using the park or zoo, parking is free for up to two hours 3. Matsushiro Castle Ruins Matsushiro Castle, once the stronghold of the Sanada clan, is surrounded by about 100 cherry trees that contrast beautifully with the late-Edo period castle grounds. Kawanakajima Battlefield Historic Park This battlefield is famous for the clashes between Takeda Shingen and Uesugi Kenshin. About 100 Somei-Yoshino cherry trees make this a popular hanami spot. Isehara Flower Report 2026.03.25 Here is the latest update on cherry blossoms in Isehara City. Cherry blossoms have started blooming across the city, bringing a clear sense of spring. The weeping cherry at Mishima Shrine is blooming beautifully and is now at its best. The cherry trees at Takanoyama Park have largely come into bloom, while those at the Sports Park need a little more time to reach full bloom. Also, the Ooyama cherry is not yet blooming, so we can look forward to its flowers soon.

Cherry blossom viewing spots in Bungoono City Sakura blooming update MtOntake Sakura Road ❚ As of March 24, 2026 Along the road on MtOntake in Kiyokawa-cho, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, about 1,200 cherry trees line the route. Along the road you can find jindai akebono and Somei-yoshino. Some Somei-yoshino trees are starting to bloom in places. More blooms are expected to follow. The jindai akebono are about 10–20% in bloom. Jindai akebono petals are a slightly deeper pink than Somei-yoshino. Blooming is likely to progress through the weekend. The views are excellent, making this a great drive.
