Wow this is really incredible! What an amazing entrance to a temple. It's an unusual design for a torii at least from the ones I've seen but it really fits the image. I love the lanterns on both sides as well. They really compliment the white and pink of the cherry blossoms with their glow. It's kind of crazy how much awesome stuff I keep seeing in Nagano prefecture. I've seen tons of cool places in Akita, Saitama, Hokkaido, etc. but I still haven't gotten a chance to check out Nagano and every time I see something amazing like this I just feel like I'm missing out. It looks like this is called Iinuma Shrine although it's hard to find information about it. Looks like a cool place to visit though, I'll have to do some more digging on this!

"Spring of Japan" Cherry blossoms at a local shrine Mr. God It's not a famous tourist destination. A shrine where only locals come to worship. The cherry blossoms that bloom freely and freely without human intervention It was very beautiful. Even more so because the period is short.

Cherry blossoms and shrines in full bloom! It's the spring of Japan! This is called Wakamiya Inari Shrine in Nagasaki, and it is said that Sakamoto Ryoma also visited it! It was a place with a good atmosphere.

The plum garden of Shishimagahara, which is related to Sugawara Michishin, is very beautiful. I really like the dark pink flowers 🌸.

The plums with drooping branches are very beautiful. Kokokubun Shrine in Imabari City, Ehime Prefecture is in full swing 🌸🌸 of spring Still, it doesn't seem to have anything to do with dogs. It's more dumplings 🍡 than flowers.

I visited Hirano Shrine in Kyoto City, including taking a photo before the first festival. I hope I was able to enjoy spring with a little dress.

I love the timing on this photo getting the wave crashing against the rocks just perfectly. I've never been to Fukui but I know that Oshima has that big red bridge and I want to go check that out. I'm assuming this is where it leads to, and if so, then I really want to give it a visit. I guess the island has a shrine as well that's an Important Cultural Property so that sounds like it'd be interesting to see as well. I didn't realize this was next to Tojinbo though, I want to see those massive jagged cliffs for myself. I've seen them in photos and it always looks really awesome but seeing it in person is always totally different. I imagine it'd be even more amazing!

Ahhh I can't wait for the cherry blossoms to start blooming. Only about a week left I guess. Today was nice and warm in Tokyo so hopefully that's a continuing trend from here on out as I'm kind of done with the cold weather this year lol! The winter scenery was all really beautiful but I think it's time for spring already. I need to look into buying a new BBQ so I can visit some parks and just relax for a whole day while eating delicious food and admiring the cherry blossoms. Hopefully Shinjuku Gyoen is open around then cuz I think it's been closed for a bit now, we'll see though. Anyways Mishima Taisha looks really cool. I always love seeing a row of cherry blossoms creating a tunnel. I'll have to add it to my list of places to visit in Shizuoka!

What a cool photo. I keep seeing pictures and stuff of Takachiho Gorge and I really want to go. I watched a video of it on here recently and it was really beautiful. Miyazaki seems like a really fun place to visit in general so it'd fun to get out there and try the boats and see all of the natural scenery. It had some really nice looking shrines that I was interested in visiting as well. It's so hard to visit all of the beautiful places scattered throughout Japan but I've got time so I'm gonna do my best lol. Earned some flight miles this year so I'm definitely heading out somewhere this summer. Maybe it'll be Miyazaki, we'll see. Although I've had my eye on Nagano lately as well so it's a toss up for now.

In Gifu City, it rarely snows every year, and this year it rained, so I went to a nearby shrine to take pictures before work.

It is located in Beppu City, Oita Prefecture, from an unpopular area. On this day, the snow was unusual.

In Iiyama City, Nagano Prefecture, to the village of Kamakura. The kamakura blue seen at dusk is fantastic.

This photo captures the essence of Kyoto so well in my opinion. Cherry blossoms and a yakatabune. It's so simple and yet so elegant at the same time. I like how the boat is just slightly obscured by the cherry blossoms and you can feel how the wood on the roof of the boat has aged just by looking at it. Kyoto has so many beautiful sights to see and experiences to try. I'm looking forward to one of these boat rides the next time I go, and I'm also planning on visiting a kawadoko because I've eaten by a river before so I know how refreshing it is, but I've never eaten OVER a river before inside a boat maybe but this is different so I'm looking forward to a new experience. Going to have to visit all the temples and shrines I didn't have the chance to visit before as well.

Such a beautiful place. Leave it to Nagano Prefecture to have yet another amazing sightseeing destination surrounded by beautiful scenery. Watching the video felt so calming. It's such a serene atmosphere and feels completely detached from the rest of the world. It makes me imagine an earth where humanity no longer exists and everything is being reclaimed by the earth. I like how there's several different shrines in the area. The gate Zuijinmon just feels like it's a boundary between worlds too very surreal. The massive trees reminded me of the redwoods back when I visited the redwood forest in California. I'd really love to explore this area and find some hidden views. I wonder if it's changed much in the 8 years since this video was taken.
