Last year it was under renovation, and this was my first time seeing the playground equipment actually in use. I was surprised by how many people showed up on opening day! Many visitors came to make the most of the free-access play equipment. Some rode the go-karts again and again, and others kept batting at the batting cages for hours, while some enjoyed a peaceful picnic. The crowd grew even larger in the latter half of Golden Week when food trucks arrived, and the inflatable dome was continually full. Even the equipment that wasn’t free kept running.
