Speaking of Hokkaido, Lake Mashu and Lake Kussharo are popular tourist spots visited by many tourists, but Teshikaga Town has Lake Mashu and Lake Kussharo.

Lake Kussharo is one of the largest caldera lakes in the world and the largest caldera lake in Japan (a lake where water accumulated in the crater after the volcano erupted).
There are many natural hot springs gushing out on the lakeside, so you can enjoy hot springs in open-air baths, saunas, and large hotels that make use of nature as it is.

Otofuke ran the melody line! However, it does not mean that music is played. (I thought ? so at first.) It is the name of the town road connecting Tokachigawa Onsen and the city of Otofuke, and is named after the "sound" of "Otofuke". There are many lovely scenery, such as the Otofuke countryside, the straight road leading to the mountain range, and the sunflower fields in autumn. With a total length of about 15 km, it is a very pleasant road to drive or cycle! There are ups and downs, so electric assist is recommended for bicycles. The Tourism Association offers assisted bicycles! Please run ♬ the Otofuke melody line. ⛔ Please do not enter the fields.

Jun. 17, 2023
Hello COOL JAPAN VIDEOS viewers.
This time Shakotan we would like to introduce Cape Kamui at the tip of the peninsula.

Cape Kamui, located a little over one and a half hours by car from Otaru, is designated as a Niseko-Shakotan-Otaru Kaigan Quasi-National Park and is the only marine park in Hokkaido.

Just as the Ainu words "Shaku = Summer" and "Kotan = Village" came to be called "Shakotan", the summer scenery is wonderful, and the vivid blue sea has come to be called "Shakotan Blue".

If you walk along the 770-meter-long promenade "Charenka Path" from the parking lot of the cape, you can reach the tip in about 30 minutes, and you can see the surroundings 300 degrees from near the tip.
On the promenade "Charenka's Path" there is the legend of Minamoto no Yoshitsune.

~Charenka Legend~
Charenka, the daughter of the chief who has strong feelings for Yoshitsune.
However, Yoshitsune left for the continent, and Charenka followed him to Cape Kamui, but Yoshitsune's ship went far offshore.
Charenka, who was grieving, threw herself into the sea with words of resentment, saying, "If you pass through here with a Japanese ship and a woman on board, you will capsize."
With sorrow and resentment, Charenka's body turned into Kamui Rock, and since then, whenever a ship carrying a woman approached the vicinity, it capsized, making Cape Kamui a place forbidden to women.
This rule continued until the early Meiji period.

There is still a "gate forbidden to women" on Cape Kamui, but now women can also go through that gate to the tip.
However, since Cape Kamui is originally a windy area, on days when winds of 13 meters or more blow, the gate forbidden to women is closed and it is not possible to go to the tip.

From June ~ July, the Ezo daylily flowers are in full bloom, and on foggy days, you can see a very fantastic scenery.

The cape, named Kamui, which means "god" in the Ainu language, has a very beautiful sunset and a superb view where you can feel the presence of the gods.

In 2004, the Shakotan Peninsula and Cape Kamui were selected as Hokkaido Heritage Sites.

This is the "Nayoro Sightseeing & Town Planning Association" in Nayoro City, Hokkaido.

Nayoro City is located in the northern part of Hokkaido and is known for producing glutinous rice, which boasts the largest acreage in Japan, and asparagus, which boasts one of the highest yields in Hokkaido.

Since it is located in the north of Hokkaido, where the cold is severe, the temperature is low throughout the year, especially the average temperature in January is -8.6°C, and the average temperature in February is -14.9°C, which is the lowest among Japanese cities.

At dawn in the cold winter season, the water vapor in the air freezes into small ice crystals, and you can see the "diamond dust" of the fantastic scenery that sparkles in the sun.
You can also experience the sun pillar, where the reflection of the light of the diamond dust looks like a pillar in Nayoro City.

Here are some of the highlights, sightseeing spots, and popular gourmet foods in Nayoro Town.

First of all, I would like to introduce "Nayoro City Kitakuni Museums".
Nayoro City Kitakuni Museum is a facility built for the purpose of learning about the natural environment and culture of northern countries and connecting them to the future.
In the "Kamui Forest" corner, you can learn about the nature and culture of the Ainu.
In addition, in front of the Kitakuni Museum, the SL snow removal train "Kimaroki" is on display, so please take a look.

Next, I would like to introduce "Nayoro Park".
The park is surrounded by a forest that combines virgin forests and artificial forests, and the cherry blossoms in the park bloom in late May, and many cherry blossom viewers visit.
There is also a park golf course, a tennis field, and a baseball field in the park, making it a facility that everyone from Adult to children can enjoy.

The last place I would like to introduce is "Hokkaido Sun Pillar Park".
Seasonal flowers bloom in the park, and the summer sunflower field became popular as a filming location for the 2011 movie "Stargazing Dog".
There is an auto camp site, and it is also a base for bikers who enjoy sightseeing in Hokkaido.

There are many other recommended spots such as "Nayoro City Astronomical Observatory Kitasubaru", "Nayoro Piyasiri Ski Resort", and "Mt. Piyasiri".

When you come to Nayoro City, please enjoy the specialty products as well as the sightseeing spots.
Nayoro City is a thriving agricultural area where glutinous rice, glutinous rice, asparagus, pumpkin, sweet corn, etc. are produced.
Please enjoy nutritious vegetables grown in the great outdoors.
These Specialty Products of Nayoro City can be purchased at Roadside Station "Glutinous Rice Village Nayoro".

Access to Nayoro City is about 1 hour and 15 minutes by car from Asahikawa City and about 2 hours and 45 minutes by car from Sapporo City.

Recommended sightseeing spots nearby 【Tokachi Hills】 A garden with the theme of agriculture and food in Makubetsu Town. The popular event Umbrella Sky is being held until June 30th! Peonies and water lilies were blooming beautifully in the garden. I was also able to see paulownia flowers, which are vulnerable to cold and rarely bloom in Hokkaido. July 1-9 is Rose Week. You will want to visit the garden many times because you can see a different expression depending on the season. 【About 20 minutes by car from Tokachigawa Onsen】

❄? Tomakomai ?❄ Tomakomai City has a ⛸️ history of skating for about 100 years. In winter, there is not much snow and there are many swamps and lakes, so a natural skating rink has been created, and it has spread ❄️ as a form of play. Ice hockey and speed skating have ? ♀️ produced many Olympic athletes. The third photo shows the rink ice melting at "NEPIA Ice Arena (formerly: Shiratori Oji Ice Arena)"! It is a de-icing work that can only be seen once a year, and a very beautiful scene spreads out ?✨. Why don't you try skating in Tomakomai!

It is a charming town "Assabu" located in the southern part of Hokkaido!

Hokkaido Assabu is focusing on migration and settlement, and we will help you make Assabu a new stage for your life!
In this first post, we will introduce Assabu's sightseeing spots, specialties, etc., as well as great deals on moving and settling in Assabu.

The Assabu of Hokkaido, which has a population of about 3,500, has low humidity throughout the year and abundant forests with moderate rainfall.
Since it is located in the south of Hokkaido, it is relatively warm compared to other areas in Hokkaido, and you can enjoy the atmosphere of the four seasons, and the weather is suitable for sightseeing and migration.

The highlight of Assabu is "Quail Dam Auto Campground Hatcham Forest".
The expansive green campsite is perfect for getting away from the hustle and bustle of the city and spending some quiet time in the great outdoors.
Gaze at the magnificent starry sky of Hokkaido and deepen your bonds with family and friends.
In addition, at the Tsuchibashi Nature Observation and Education Forest (Reku no Mori), you can observe a wide variety of plants and small animals, and it is a spot that both adults and children can enjoy, such as field athletic recreation camps.

Don't miss the specialties of Assabu!
Assabu potato "Mae Quinn" is characterized by its unique sweetness and smooth texture, and farmers can enjoy the taste that has been painstakingly done.
In addition, Assabu's specialty "black bean tea" uses Assabu specialty large grain light black soybeans, which have rich flavor and excellent health benefits, which are loved by many people.
And Ezo Maitake mushrooms, a rare variety made only in Hokkaido, are characterized by their rich umami and high aroma, and can be used in a variety of dishes.
Although it will be easy, we have introduced the climate, sightseeing spots, gourmet and specialty information of Assabu!

Next, I will tell you about the migration and settlement information of Assabu.
The number of people who are considering moving to Assabu is increasing year by year.

Assabu has various systems in place to support migrants.
First, a migration experience program is offered, allowing you to experience life in the town temporarily.
Through this program, you can feel closer to the living environment and community of the town.

The Assabu also actively provides job information for migrants.
There are a wide range of occupations, from primary industries such as agriculture and forestry to the creation of new businesses that utilize local resources.
Migrants are provided with job placement tailored to their individual skills and experience, and can receive support to start a new career.

In addition, Assabu provides a variety of assistance schemes to support migrant livelihoods.
For example, there are substantial support to improve the quality of life, such as incentives for farmers, gifts for childbirth, and incentives for home ownership.

And Assabu nursery schools have a unique system called "Nursery School Study Abroad".
This program accepts families raising children who want to study at nursery schools from all over the country and temporarily spends time in the Assabu, so that the whole family can feel the vast nature, local life and culture.
Abundant nature, delicious food, a warm community and generous support await you.

Currently, many people want to move, but there is a problem that there is a shortage of housing such as vacant houses.
If there is anyone who can cooperate or help us to accept many immigrants and permanent residents with the aim of becoming "the most wonderful depopulated city in the world", please contact us!

In the future, we would like to send out great deals for Assabu migrants through this SNS!
Thank you in advance!
