In Hinomotoichi's Calligraphy Trial Plan, students do not pick up a brush and start writing immediately after the lesson begins.  Instead, we begin by explaining about the culture of calligraphy and the history of calligraphy in Japan. This is because it helps them to better understand the difference between Japanese calligraphy and caligraphy, which is a form of character decoration that also exists in other countries, and to appreciate the beauty of the Japanese language. #calligraphy #kanji #shodo

The practice of swordsmanship was intended above all to nurture the mind. The samurai, through diligent practice and extreme concentration, desired to attain a state of unthoughtfulness, free of attachment or preoccupation, and thus able to respond instantly. A warrior is prepared to die each morning. In the quiet moments of the morning, he imagines himself being struck by lightning, doused by fire, or cut to pieces with a sword or spear. It is hard to remember that one step outside the doorway is the world of death. #Honor #Bushido #samuraisord #katana

Winter in Shirakawa Township Photo taken on 2022.02.26 Shooting from the Hagijo Observation decks Since it was free, chronic traffic jams began to occur due to Car parking for long periods of time, so parking spaces are currently Car Closed in Hagigi Observation decks. The usual parking lot near the Village Car closes in the evening, so I had to Accommodation to the Village and walk up to the Observation decks to take this view. You can also use paid coin parking, so it would be nice to be able to go by Car.

[Celebration of the registration of "Gokase no Araodori" as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage] Today, Sunday, December 1st, a celebration was Held in 👏✨ at the Araodori Museum in the Sakamoto district to commemorate the registration of "Gokase no Araodori" as a "UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage" in February of 2021 (Reiwa 3) When 2021 (Reiwa 3) was registered, it was difficult to hold a celebration There is a Coronavirus pandemic, so today's celebration 🥹 was finally realized After the opening, the ceremony proceeded without a hitch, with greetings from the Araodori Preservation Society and congratulatory speeches from guests. The opening of the mirror was 🍶🔨 carried out by the sound of Drums and bells of the Arashi dance, and the very impressive gunfire of the arquebus After that, a toast was made with a toast by Mr. Fujimoto, the dancer, and the feast began 👏 Not only the members of the Araodori Preservation Society, but also the dancers and their families... I think 😌 it was a wonderful meeting where everyone talked about their various thoughts on Araodori In the middle of the banquet, an interview was conducted by the emcee, and everyone was ashamed to talk 🤭✨ about their passion for Araodori Sake and conversation were satisfied, and at the end, the three chants were 🙌🙌🙌 sung In Miyazaki, where many traditional performing arts such as Kagura remain, I feel 😳 that it was truly a great thing that Gokase no Araodori was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage In the future, I would like to ✨ continue to cherish the traditional performing arts that are protected and connected in each district

(accomplished in) both the literary and military arts A samurai is a man of letters and a man of martial arts, studying both arts. For the Samurai, the way of literature and the way of martial arts are like two wheels on one wheel. Samurai honor, which believes that the way of literature and the way of martial arts are two sides of the same coin, aims at the path of both literature and martial arts through two experiences: Samurai tea ceremony and Samurai calligraphy. The spirit of the Samurai is a way of life and death, a way of letting go of attachment to life and living in this lifetime. Through Samurai honor, students acquire the spirit of Bushido. #osakacastle #samurai #calligraphy

In addition to scenery and food that can only be seen and eaten in Japan, calligraphy, a traditional culture that can only be experienced in Japan, is one such example. When providing services to foreigners visiting Japan in the form of experience tourism, we are conscious of "learning" that leads to cultural understanding, such as deepening understanding of the history of calligraphy in Japan and conveying the meaning behind each kanji character.

I wonder if 💭 they used to bring rice balls like this and eat them on the go There are people who are handing out large pieces of paper, which are called "Kawaraban" and are like newspapers from the Edo period. It is said 💭 that they were selling at that time in order to inform the common people of urgent news

The sword is the soul of the samurai; it cannot be sold even if it starves to death. Bushido made the sword a symbol of his power and valor. From an early age, one is taught how to use a sword. He started with a wooden sword, and when he reached the age of 15, he was allowed to carry a serious weapon. At that time, he became aware of his self-respect and sense of responsibility for carrying a dangerous weapon in the street.

On this day, the gluttonous Kasai visited a Japanese confectionery shop that I had been interested in for a long time! It is "Koshido" in Suehiro, Suwa City. We interviewed President Kurita about his story. It is a long-established Japanese confectionery store that has been in business for 99 years since 1925 (Taisho 14)!! The current president seems to be the third generation. It just so happened that five days before I visited, a Local newspaper published an article saying that the hanging paper and stickers of Koshido's Standard products were designed by students of the Local Suwa Industrial High School. Even in the midst of history, I was fascinated by such a flexible place, and I made an appointment. According to the president, there used to be 60~70 stores in the Suwa City Confectionery Association, and there were Member stores stores in the city alone, but now there are only 17 stores. I wanted to pass on to future generations the culture of Japanese sweets that my ancestors left behind. Restrooms available myself, and I have always liked Japanese sweets. On this day, you can enjoy Japanese sweets in all four seasons I was able to learn anew!! Sakura mochi and Kashiwa mochi in Spring, peony mochi and hagi in Ohigan, pig mochi and tsutsugayu in autumn... I would like to introduce you to very delicate and delicious Japanese sweets! ◎ Koshido 📍 Suwa City Nagano Prefecture Suwa City Suehiro 12-12-9 ☎0266-52-0920 ◎ Business hours: 9:00 ~ 18:00 ◎Regular holiday : Closed on Wednesdays ◎ Online shop : www.okashi-net.com/mall/koshido/ This day, I went to Koushi-dou. It is traditional Japanese dessert shop in Suwa city. Mr. Kurita is president and craftsman at the shop. His shop started 99 years ago. He is a third-generation. In Nov, 9th, I saw article at newspaper about his shop. Suwa jitsugyou high school students designed for his product’s sticker. He told me, long time ago was 60 – 70 traditional Japanese sweets shop was here in Suwa city. But now are only 17 shops… I think I need to such great tradition to pass down to future generations!!! I didn’t know we can enjoy traditional Japanese sweets each four seasons!!! Can you believe it? It is true!!! In this autumn Dango, Inoko-mochi, Tsutsugayu. In spring, Sakura-mochi, Kashiwa-mochi and so on. I still need study about Japanese traditional sweet. Mido, with its Heian period Pure Land Garden, is also designated as a national treasure. There are relatively few people on Saturdays and Sundays, and it is a spot where you can enjoy the Autumn leaves calmly. In autumn, Ooin ginkgo and maples beautifully decorate the temple. In the middle of the prime, you can enjoy various autumn gradations from yellow to deep red!
