I didn't know that there were large kofun ancient burial mounds in Saitama as well. I studied about the history of some of the gigantic keyhole shaped tumuli in Japan but I've never seen or read about any kofun in Saitama. Really cool that this one has these massive cherry blossoms on top of it. I guess there's an entire park in the area as well. Definitely looks like a cool place to go for a walk and to watch the sunset as well.

This photo reminds me of winter, but not because of the weather, because the trees are all white and it reminds me of rime covered trees that are frozen in winter. I always like seeing white cherry blossoms as they seem a lot more rare. And of course, it's another place in Nagano Prefecture lol. I swear there's no shortage of beautiful scenery in Nagano, I'm not sure as to why that is, but it always has me wanting to go and visit. I guess there's fireworks at the nearby Lake Suwa as well, so that'd be fun to go and see during the summer. I already have so much I want to do in Nagano so this is just a +1 to that list!

Saimyoji Shiseki Park Saimyoji Historic Site Park: This looks like an awesome place to visit! I love all the different types of cherry blossoms in such a small area. There's so many different colors and shades it looks really fantastical. I wonder if there are any koi in the pond, it'd really complete the look of the area I think. The park looks pretty big as well, judging from the map on their website, it's also really close to Mt. Fuji as well so it's probably a nice place to drop by if you're in that area. It looks like there's also a pretty long stretch of road where you can view the cherry blossoms by car as well if you don't feel like hiking which is nice. Going to have to consider checking this place out!

This is a photo of tulips and nemophila McLata taken in Kiso Mikawa Park. The combination of spring cheerfulness and spring flowers was very beautiful.

I took a picture of Inuyama Castle, cherry blossoms and the evening sky from Inuyama Naritayama. I was impressed by the gradation of the sky.

What an amazing tree! It makes sense that it's called the "Waterfall Cherry." I can totally see the resemblance in how the cherry blossoms hang down like that. Interesting that there's actually a "Three Great Cherry Blossoms Trees of Japan." I'd really love to go see this and Usuzumizakura in Gifu and Jindaizakura in Yamanashi. It's incredible to think that even after more than 1,000 years this cherry tree is still standing and is just like a fine wine in that it gets even better with age. There's so much beautiful natural scenery in Japan to see. I wonder what the sky is like here at night. I bet you can probably see a lot of stars from here
