With the heat finally gone, Tsubetsu Town is now feeling almost cold. In a little while, the autumn colors like those in the attached photo should appear at Lake Chimikeppu… I can’t wait to see them.

🍁Taiki Town's Recommended Autumn Spots🍁 When it comes to places to feel autumn in Taiki Town, the stunning autumn leaves at Sakashita Senkyo stand out. It's tucked away a bit, so here are directions on how to get there! 1. On the Shimizu–Taiki Line (Hokkaido Route 55), you'll see a sign on the right if you come from Kamifutsunai, and on the left if you come from Taiki. Follow the arrow and turn. (Photo 2) 2. You will see the orange bridge “Bikei Bridge” ahead; continue across it. (Photo 3) 3. The paved road changes to gravel along the way. Keep going and you will pass the orange bridge “Sakashita Ohashi.” (Photo 4) 4. After passing another gray bridge you will spot a dairy farm. Go past the farm a short distance until the road splits left and right, then follow the left sign. The sign reads “Rekifune River Tributary Forest Road,” and this is where the forest road begins. (Photos 5–6) 5. Continue along the forest road for a while. Some sections get muddy after rain and fallen branches may block the way, so proceed slowly. (Photo 7) 6. You will arrive at Higata Bridge, which spans Sakashita Senkyo. (Photo 8) There is a small space on the right after crossing the bridge where you can park or make a U-turn. Kiyomizudera temple is a well known tourist destination and always be very crowded. Last autumn we visited thus famous destination and it really very beautiful. Wish to visit this year too. The whole mountain looks multi colored and the shrines creates an amazing scenic views.

Kamakura in late autumn, Meigetsu-in. It is a temple that is always visited during the maple season. Round windows are also called windows of enlightenment, and they give peace of mind while reflecting different landscapes in spring, summer, autumn, and winter. Maybe it's Nanbu ironware, but the iron kettle draws a beautiful silhouette.

Head to the Yokoya Kannon Observatory in Yokoya Valley, Nagano Prefecture The rows of autumn leaves on the side streets are a masterpiece. During the less popular early morning hours, you can monopolize the superb view of autumn leaves!

Komadome water fall is considered Nasu's foremost waterfall. It is three meters wide and falls down around around twenty meters from a cliff on the Yosasa river. During autumn time it looks amazingly beautiful.

It seems that the red spider liliies everywhere is late because of the hot summer, but the red spider liliies of the Fuchu Local Forest Museum was in full bloom. This place is surprisingly empty and relaxing. The Manjusha Festival is also being held.

World Heritage Kyoto Daigoji Temple Bentendo I went to Daigoji Temple for the first time, but it was a stunning vermilion color.

Hiroshima I happened to stop by Buktsuji Temple in Mihara City, and the bridge here is nice, but maybe it was early in the season, there are no autumn leaves around the bridge, and there are few autumn leaves in the background, but I haven't seen many photos with this composition, so I dared to take a picture 😀 with this method.

When I lived in Kyoto, I often visited for sightseeing. It is a famous Arashiyama. The bridge in the photo is called "Togetsukyo Bridge", and it seems that the origin of the bridge's name is that the old emperor saw the moon moving on the bridge and commented, "It is similar to the crossing of the moon without a bear." The autumn leaves of Arashiyama are very famous, so in autumn it is crowded with more people than usual. I also ate salt-grilled ayu here, and the freshly grilled ayu while looking at the autumn leaves spreading in the distance and the river flowing in front of me was the best.

When I was in college, I lived in Kyoto, and on my days off, I often visited famous temples and shrines. It's a pity that I forgot exactly where I took this pond, but I couldn't help but press the shutter because I thought it was beautiful to see the leaves that fell due to autumn leaves floating in the pond and spreading out like a carpet. In spring, I thought that the peach-colored carpet must be spreading. Once again, it was a moment when I felt that the four seasons in Japan are wonderful.
