This was my first autumn experience ever and I thanks myself for choosing Aomori for that. It was absolutely stunning and surreal. Till now after visiting a dozons of place, the memories of Oirase gorge is still fresh.

The fresh green of the Oirase Gorge is also beautiful. Autumn leaves color the autumn hike. There are many autumn foliage spots here and there along the mountain stream! Please enjoy walking with the flow of pure water.

The reason I started photography was because I saw a wonderful photo of Cosmos on the Internet. I wanted to take such wonderful photos myself. In a place that is not crowded now, the three brothers are in full bloom, about to bloom, and buds. Aomori's Nebuta Festival! I was overwhelmed by the dynamic turns at the intersection and the power of the Nebuta. I hope that enthusiasm will return next year! And I want to go see it again!!

"Green Flash" Traveling on the Japan ocean side, you'll have the chance to see the moment the sunset falls on the horizon on a sunny day. It is a moment when you are about to make a "juh!" sound, but you can see another rare phenomenon just before sunset. This Green Flash is a sight that I have tried many times over the years in Fukaura Town in Aomori Prefecture, but I am sure that it can be seen along the coast all over the country. Even if you live in an area far from the sea, this is a scenery that you should definitely see when this corona turmoil calms down.

It's interesting how Japan has so many blue lakes. It's such a strange phenomenon. I'm not sure if the color in all of them is due to the same phenomenon, but the one in Biei is supposedly colored blue because of aluminum and other minerals that scatter sunlight in just the right way. I have a feeling this one isn't the same because the one in Biei was formed only after a dam was made, but I'm interested to learn what exactly causes it here. I actually hadn't heard of this blue lake before but Aomori has some really nice scenery so it's not too surprising. Also Shirakami-Sanchi is a UNESCO heritage site for a reason I suppose lol. I'd like to go see this and the Nebuta Festival in Aomori as that's supposed to be really awesome as well. Maybe it's possible to see them during the same visit?
