Akita prefecture is a breathtaking destination that boasts of magnetic wilderness and a perfect climate for growing the most delicious apples you have ever tasted. During my recent visit to the Yokote Kamakura Festival, my eyes were caught by the sight of sugar-coated, bright-red Akita apples that looked incredibly tempting. Without second thoughts, I grabbed one and took a bite. The sweetness was unlike anything I had ever tasted before, and it left me craving for more. It was truly an exhilarating experience!

Early morning in Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture. It was a cold morning down to -10°C, but thanks to that, the air was very clear. No matter how many times you go, you will be healed by the calm atmosphere unique to the countryside.

This is a night view of the factory of Kosaka Refining Co., Ltd., located in Kosaka Town, Kazuno District, Akita Prefecture. The factories surrounded by snow-covered mountains are a very impressive scenery. There are various factories all over the country, but the factories in the snow country are also beautiful.

The Akita Inland Railway runs through Kitaakita City, Akita Prefecture. It is a scene unique to heavy snowfall areas. It is a local line with a basic one-car train, but it is very cute to see it running in a wonderful scenery.

Located in the southern part of the Oga Peninsula, "Unozaki Coast" This place is registered as one of the "100 Best Beaches in Japan" and is a superb view spot representing Oga where you can see a superb view like the Salar de Uyuni. This beach is a shallow beach, which is rare in Japan, and it is a beach where families with children can play with peace of mind. In the evening, you can see an even more beautiful view with the brilliance of the setting sun.

The carpet of the gods of Mount Kurikoma It was said that it was not good this year, but not at all It was so beautiful that I was impressed, and I enjoyed it for 6 hours until I climbed up and down. There are several climbing routes, but the one that is easier from the Miyagi Prefecture side is the central route. The other Higashikurikoma route will be muddy, so be careful.

The golden rice terraces that make you feel the arrival of autumn are just about to be harvested. This is a terraced rice field protected in an area called "Kitaura Safety Temple" that spreads out in the mountainous area of Oga City, Akita Prefecture. Beyond the terraced rice fields, you can see the mountains of the "Three Mountains of Oga Mayama, Motoyama, and Mt. Momu", and clean spring water flows from the mountains, moistening the terraced rice fields and producing delicious rice. I'm looking forward to the delicious rice~.

Ugo Town, Akita Prefecture's "Nishimaonnai Bon Odori" Part 2 This is a continuation of the previous post.

Located in Ugo Town, Akita Prefecture, Nishi Baonnai Bon Odori is a summer festival with a history and tradition of more than 700 years, which is counted as one of the three major Bon Odori dances in Japan along with the Gujo Odori of Gifu Prefecture and the Awa Odori of Tokushima Prefecture. The venue is Nishimaonnai Honmachi Street, which is the central village of Ugo Town, and it is a bon event held for 3 days from August 16th ~ 18th every year. It was mysterious and gorgeous to see dancers dressed in distinctive torioi hats knitted hats, colorful and beautifully stitched kimonos and yukatas, dancing gracefully to the beating of taiko drums and songs. Especially this year, as it was the first regular event in four years, people from outside the town were able to participate in the dance, and many people from inside and outside the prefecture came to see it. Photos of the festival will continue after this, but I hope you can see it.

In Kakunodate, Akita Prefecture, the February fire-swinging kamakura is held, and it is a powerful "fire swing".

From Inaniwa, Yuzawa City, Akita Prefecture, I got lost on the chot road on the way to Nikaho City and happened to meet along Route 312. Near Yachisawa Pasture The road here is narrow and runs on gravel roads. Suddenly, a "swamp" appears, and beyond that, "Mt. Chokai" can be seen, and I was surprised at the wonderful location. Of course, this is my first time here. I immediately set the camera on a tripod and started shooting. It is good for shooting Mt. Chokai and reflections, but be careful because there is a power line at the top and it goes into the viewfinder. Is it this year's theme "hidden gem sightseeing spots in Japan"? There was no one.
