I keep seeing pictures of the Shiroyone Senmaida Rice Terraces and I really just need to go and see it myself. I don't know what it is about rice fields but they're some of the most beautiful scenery you can find in my opinion. I think that's another thing I really love about places like Akita, Saitama, etc. It really just makes me wish summer was here already. I want to go outside and enjoy a barbecue at some park. Spring would be great too, I'd get some plum wine and eat some barbecue under the cherry blossoms. I always love seeing the rice field art too, so if I can see some this year I'll be really happy. I think I saw some in Akita but I didn't get a chance to see any in Saitama yet, so maybe I'll try and find some out there and go out for a visit.

Long day out today. Figured I'd check everyone's posts before bed and wow! I'd not heard of Mt. Yoshino, although I can see why Toyotomi Hideyoshi would have loved it. The scenery is truly beautiful here. I can't even imagine how beautiful the cherry blossoms must be if they're even more amazing than the snowy landscape in this photo. I suppose Kinpusenji Temple is the large building just to the right of the center of the photo. I'd love to give it a visit. It's Nara too, so hopefully I can see some deer during my visit. If not then I'll just have to stop by the park to watch people being chased for their crackers😂 Lovely place though, I'm interested in seeing what it looks like in Autumn as well. Japan never ceases to amaze me with it's colorful foliage so I can imagine Mt. Yoshino is no exception either!

Just beautiful. There's so much happening in this photo when you really look at it. The paper lantern is really the cherry on the cake for me in this one. I read an article a little while ago about the funaya in Ine and thought it was really interesting. It's awesome getting to see fireworks happening there as well, it's like I've discovered a new side of the area that I didn't know about before. I really enjoy fireworks over water too, and there's plenty of great fireworks festivals in Japan that do just that. I was already looking forward to being able to see the boathouses in Ine one day but now I'm looking forward to it even more. Going to line it up with the Ine Fireworks Festival if I can. The reflection of the fireworks on the water looks really awesome as well.

Morning at Niikurayama Sengen Shrine. Mt. Fuji enters the torii gate, and the scenery is very magnificent.

God the snowscapes of Japan just get better and better. I keep hearing and reading about Ouchi-Juku all over the place and it's really got me itching to visit. I really love these old post stations and their historic feel. The buildings are really rustic and just looking at them makes me feel comfortable and relaxed. I really love the thatched roofs as well. I can imagine enjoying some delicious soup and tea next to an irori and just letting all life's troubles be whisked away. Top it if with some hot springs and I can't even imagine a better way to relax. Apparently there's the hot spring Yunokami onsen about 15 minutes from Ouchi-Juku but I guess there's also a footbath in Ouchi-Juku itself as well? Or maybe it's in the same area as Yonokami Onsen, I'm not 100% sure on that. Hopefully it's heated either way 😂

Lake Shoji is the most visited of the Fuji Five Lakes. It is a very quiet and pleasant place.

There is always a wood-burning stove in the lobby. It is a place of relaxation for everyone.

Photographed from the ropeway of Kita Yatsugatake. It was sunny that day, so we took the ropeway. However, when I reached the summit, it was cloudy、、。 I can't read the weather in the mountains. The summit was very cold at -12°C.

What you can see in the back is the village of Oshi in Kanayama Town, Fukushima Prefecture. I took this photo with a train running next to the Tadami River. The greenery is beautiful in the snowless season, so I would like to go there again.

This photo was taken on the shore of Lake Kawaguchi in Yamanashi Prefecture. It had snowed the day before, and it was quite cold in the early morning of this day. Therefore, the air was clear and Mt. Fuji looked very beautiful.

This is a photo of a snowy day in "Naramachi" in Nara City, Nara Prefecture. Nara City does not have much snow, and it has snowed for the first time in several years, and the cityscape that I have loved from the beginning has become even more attractive due to the snowy scenery.

Morning Mist no Tancho Crane @ Otowa Bridge I bought a ticket for Hokkaido because I wanted to go here. There were many people even though it was the end of the year. It was a warm winter, but we managed to generate river fog.

Man this is so cool! Leave it to Kyoto to have not only tons of amazing temples and shrines, but also some historic boat houses! Looking at this just gets me raring to go fishing lol. It's been so long since I've been. It'd probably be a good idea to get my own tackle and go for a fishing trip. I could even try making my own sushi although idk how great it would taste 😂The second picture in the article makes it look like paradise too. I'd love to visit the hot spring as well. I have a public bath near my place but I haven't been able to get out to an actual hot spring lately. Ine looks like a great place though, really rustic and detached from the every day hustle and bustle of the city. Just one more thing to add to my bucket list when I visit Kyoto again!

I ate Yaeyama soba at a popular restaurant called Aftersummer on Ishigaki Island. The soup was based on pork bones and bonito flakes, and although it was salty but sweet, it went perfectly with the yellow medium thick noodles and was very delicious! I would definitely like to eat it again if I have a chance!

Wow, I really liked this video. Great music too! It seems like Nagiso has a ton of stuff to do. It felt like I was on a journey just watching it. I haven't heard of this place, maybe it's one of those hidden gems I guess, as I can't see how it wouldn't be super popular. I'd love to head out here during the summer and see the waterfalls in the area too. The part at 6:50 looks like it could even be a waterslide but I doubt you can swim here lol I'll be reading more about this.... Also, WOW! Momosukebashi Bridge looks so cool! I'm not one of those guys to fawn over bridges but this bridge has some really cool architecture. It looks really awesome sitting over the bed of white rocks as well. The festivals look fun too. The Hanauma Festival with the horses carrying charms? on their backs looks interesting. Hopefully it doesn't scare them too much though. Maybe next summer or spring I can head out here to see the waterfalls or cherry blossoms! That, or maybe even the harvest moon!
