Underwater trash pick-up program 🗑️🌊 I received my Dive Against Yellowtail certification card! 😃 The design is a sea turtle 🐢✨ The theme of this design card changes every year. The theme for 2024 is sea turtles, which have been greatly damaged by ghost gear (discarded fishing nets), which has become a problem in recent years. The message of this card is not only to improve your diving skills, but also to raise awareness of marine conservation and the protection of marine life. Thereare, if you wish to use this specially designed card instead of the usual certification card, you will need to pay a donation of at least 500 yen per unit to a non-profit environmental protection organization called the AWARE Foundation. The donations are used ♻️ for "shark and ray conservation" and "marine debris recovery activities" In this activity, you don't just end up picking up trash! We measure and classify the garbage we collect, and create data while discussing the causes and problems. This data is reported through PADI (the world's largest Scuba Diving educational institution) to researchers, environmental groups, and government agencies for analysis and action. Diving is not just a leisure activity or picking up trash, but it is 💡 a valuable activity that allows you to think deeply about environmental issues and contribute to improvement through concrete data Let's protect the future of the ocean together. If you are interested, please feel free to contact us! 📩 We can ✨✨ change the inside of the ocean with our own hands

The 31st Koshinsatsu Yakinou Festival Dondoyaki and Commerce Festival 2025 On Sunday, January 19, the Ishida Shoko Shinkokai hosted the event at Jounokoshi Park in Higashinase. Locals enjoyed adding New Year decorations and red-and-white and green protective dango (rice dumplings) to bamboo poles and tossing them into the bonfire, then sipping served amazake. The fire department offered ladder truck rides, and performances by the Kojou High School calligraphy club and cheer dance team enlivened the day, along with the Oyama top-spinning contest, making it a lively occasion for both adults and children!

[ Taiki Town ’s Unremarkable Scenery — Winter ] To residents it’s an ordinary view, but looking again reveals the quiet beauty of Taiki Town’s landscape! This photo shows an evening scene from mid‑January this year. There’s surprisingly little snow…! Wide skies and open land, a straight road, and neatly aligned windbreak trees are my favorite points. Bookstall Yukimichi on the Road From neighboring Shimokawa Town with books in tow They came again this year. Yukimichi Bookstall. Curated selections around a theme are displayed at Pom. January’s theme was ecology. It’s fun to flip through the changing monthly lineup wondering which books are here today. Quietly snapping photos of people absorbed in their books. That day also featured an English picture-book reading by the ALT from Nishiokoppe Village. Next month is scheduled for February 12. The location is a bit hard to find, but it’s between the village office and Kikuchi Shop. Please drop by. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Yukimichi Bookstall #Shimokawa Town #Bookstore #Pop-up #Pom #Souvenir Lucky Bag #January 15 #Record #Next: February 12

This is a photo of my beloved Shiba Inu dog "Mametaro" taken in my garden. Born in Fukushima and raised in Hokkaido, he seems to love snow, and he moves quickly through places that are so deep that it is difficult for humans to walk. Mametaro's brown fur looks beautiful in the scenery that has become completely white in winter, so watching him take a walk in the snow is It is also one of my winter pleasure. In opposition to "Snow Miku", I secretly call it "Snow Mame" in my heart.
