[Isehara Flower Update] 2025.09.16 Every year from mid to late September, the cluster amaryllis in the Hyuga area reach their peak bloom. Around Spring of this year, my father and mother and I Outbound to Nara. I was usually aware that I was being raised by a good couple, but on this day, we were both in a very good mood, probably because it was the yellowtail first time in a long time that we were traveling with three people. I took a lot of pictures as usual on this day, but this was the first time I took a picture for my mother! I think I was asked. I took a two-shot photo of my mother and father. Both my mother and father are shy people, so I can't put them on social media or show them to anyone, but they are carefully displayed at the entrance of my house. As a daughter, I think that such a place brings out the character of the two of them, and they are a very cute couple. This photo is a rare photo that both of my parents complimented. They don't always show any particular interest in photography, and since we both have completely different sensibilities, they rarely compliment us together. However, this photo is displayed on the TV stand as a favorite. My No. 1 memory of Spring this year is this.

Yesterday (September 9), we replanted daffodil bulbs at Cape Tsumeki, a scenic spot in Shimoda City. Daffodils bloom in winter, and Shimoda City holds its Daffodil Festival from December 20 to January 31. All the bulbs in the garden are dug up every June, and when summer ends the park management staff of Shimoda City replants the bulbs. Although daffodils can bloom for several years without being replanted, we dig them up once to check the soil and buried bulbs so they will bloom beautifully. About 15 people gathered to work today. We carried out the task with hopes that this year’s display will be even more beautiful. 😊 Imagining these bulbs sprouting, flowering, and turning the garden into a pure white sea of daffodils in three months makes me excited for the opening. ✨ Those who participated in the work included local residents of the Susaki area, Izu Kyuko Line, Shimoda Kaikoku Museum, ShimodaRopeway, Villa Ozawa (Tsumekizaki shop), Blue Tsumekizaki (Tsumekizaki shop), Shimoda City General Affairs Division, Tourism Exchange Division, Shimon Information Center, and Shimoda City Tourism Association. Thank you to everyone who took part and worked hard under the hot sun. 😊 We will hand over to the park management staff so they can continue replanting many bulbs, hoping that many visitors will come to this year’s Daffodil Festival. At dusk, the midsummer sun gradually diminishes its brilliance and begins to tilt into the western sky. The sunflower fields in Kasai Rinkai Park were enveloped in a tranquility that induced township, different from the lively daytime. The sunflowers spread all over the place, shining their faces as if they were sparing the last rays of the sun. At that Time Slot / Time of Day, I was crazy about taking the shutter. In that place where many many sunflowers are in bloom, this one sunflower caught my eye. Illuminated by the setting sun, the gradation of light and shadow woven by the petals was like a painting. I deliberately cut out the brightly colored sunflowers in monochrome because I wanted to take a break from the hustle and bustle of color and express the universal beauty of form created by the soft light of dusk and the vitality of looking powerfully at the end of the day. Because it is a world of black and white, the delicate texture of the petals, the powerful stems that stand out in the shadows, and the center that shines in the western sun stand out. It was as if this sunflower was telling us, "Be yourself and shine in any situation." This piece is more than just a summer scene. I took this photo in the hope that it would give hope to the viewer's heart and be deeply engraved in their hearts as an unforgettable memory of the passing summer twilight.

Photographed at the Flower Culture Garden. I was fascinated by the contrast between the yellow of the sunflower and the green of the praying mantis. Two shots of insects and flowers that have become difficult to see in modern times. I envy you when you think that it used to be full of such scenes.

A Long-Awaited Hike up Mt. Shiraiwa 👟 From the 13th to the 17th, the town road Hon’yashiki–Hagisen reopened to regular vehicles, so I left my car at Gokasecho Highland Ski Area’s Ski Center and hiked up Mt. Shiraiwa 💪 Because the management road up to the ski area still prohibits ordinary cars, I first headed on foot for the Gobobatake trailhead ✨ About 30 minutes after starting, I reached the Gobobatake trailhead 💡 From there I set off on my long-awaited hike up Mt. Shiraiwa 😊 The trail was rough at first, but it was generally easy to walk and the cool weather made the climb comfortable ✨ At the summit I exchanged valuable information and learned about conditions on nearby peaks 👍 The photos show an asagi-madara butterfly and alpine wildflowers I encountered along the way 🥰 It felt great to hike Mt. Shiraiwa again and it was a refreshing experience 😆

The "Mutsumi Flower Road" spreads all over the mountains of Mt. Fushima in the Mutsumi area of Hagi City! 🌻 Best time to visit from late July ~ early August every year, about 330,000 sunflowers are in full bloom! We will inform you of the flowering status.
