During the winter, Abashiri lake becom a completely frozen lake. One even can walk in the middle of the lake. During this time smelt fishing is a very popular and exciting events in hokkaido. Several people come here and make a tent. Inside the tent they create a whole by digging out the snow to reach the lake water. Then they do fishing. A much less known place in Tokyo. Several tourist and local people usually visit Kama kura to see the great budha but unfortunately many of them don't know this great budha of Tokyo. This great budha of Tokyo is selected as one of the top 100 tourist spot in in new Tokyo. Additionally this is the 3rd largest bronze statue of budha in Japan. This is located in Akatsuka of Itabashi city. Almost no crowd but very well organized place. I highly recommend tourists to visit Tokyo daibutsu during their stay in Tokyo.
