I took this photo at Reishoji Temple in Omachi City, Nagano Prefecture. It is a famous spot for autumn leaves. There is an expression that it is fiery red, but the maple leaves spreading in the depths of the forest really looked like flames, and I took a picture of it.

長野県大町市にある霊松寺で撮りました。紅葉で有名なスポットです。燃えるような赤という表現がありますが、林の奥で広がる楓の葉が本当に炎のように見えて思わず写真を撮りました。

It is Mt. Eboshidake in the Central Alps in November. It is a satoyama that can be easily climbed, but the autumn leaves are splendid. The leaves were dyed autumn colors all over the place, so it was difficult to cut out the frame, but I am satisfied that I was able to finish the photo with a symmetry that makes use of the straight lines of the trees. I would be happy if I could beautifully capture the shapes created by nature!

11月の中央アルプスの烏帽子岳です。簡単に登れる里山ですが紅葉が見事です。そこら一面の葉が秋色に染まっており、フレームの切り取りが逆に難しかったですが、樹木の直線を活かした対称性を感じる写真に仕上げられたかなと満足しています。自然が作る形を美しく切り取れると嬉しいですね！

晩秋の冠雪した北アルプスです。富山県と長野県にまたがる下ノ廊下という登山道から見た光景です。この登山道は断崖絶壁を切り開いて作られた道であり、そこから見える山々も急峻で美しいです。冬と秋を同時に感じられる景色です。

Potato digging A potato field tended as a hobby. After October began, about seven of us gathered on a holiday and went to dig potatoes! First we removed the weeds and leaves lying on the soil, then used digging forks to unearth the potatoes carefully without piercing them. After digging them up, we left them in the sun for a while to dry their skins, then sorted the potatoes by size—large and small—and put them into bags before loading them onto the truck. My leg muscles still ache even after two or three days (laughs). It felt great to work up a good sweat after such a long time!

趣味で育てているという
じゃがいも畑。

10月に入ってから
休日に7人ほどが集まり
じゃがいも掘りに行ってきました！

まずは土の上にのっている
草を取り除いてから
芋掘りフォークで、芋を刺さないように
掘りだしていきます。

掘りだしたあとは
少しお日様にあてて
表面を乾かし、

簡単に大小のサイズを選り分けながら
袋などに入れて、トラックへ積みました。

2～3日が経ってもなお
脚の筋肉痛が残っています（笑）

久しぶりに
よい汗をかけました！
