📌Saturday, July 5 — Shirohebi-hime Festival at the shore of Lake Shikaribetsu in Shikaoicho. This theatrical folk performance, created from Ainu traditions, features a 13-meter white snake and a princess dancing in a dreamlike spectacle.

■Free shuttle bus to the venue: A free shuttle will operate from Kanda Nissho Memorial Museum in Shikaoicho to the lakeside venue using the regular bus route.


📌Sunday, July 6 — The 52nd Pyotan Falls Yamabe Release Festival at Satsunai River Park in Nakasatsunai Village. The day starts with the release of yamabe (a local trout), followed by a Poroshiri drum performance, hands-on workshops, food trucks, and ends with a stage-side edamame toss featuring the village’s specialty edamame.

Gourmet fair will be held in with Hagi's "#Setsuki Aji" as the main character!

Maaji, born off the west coast of the Goto Islands of Kyushu, came to the coast of the Sea of Japan in Yamaguchi Prefecture on the Tsushima Warm Current, and some of them lived and raised in the waters off the coast of Hagi (natural reefs and rocks). Here, they grow by eating abundant and high-quality food such as plankton and whitebait, and become a delicious "setsuki aji" with good fat and plump flesh.
Moreover, since Hagi is close to the fisheries, freshly caught horse mackerel is brought to the market and is very fresh ✨

We invited the instructor and held a planting experience session!

This time, in order to decorate the village facilities,
I planted as many as 15 kinds of flowers and leafy plants in large pots.

It's different from the gathering design I learned last year.
When you take the plants out of the pots, arrange them in the pots, and align the height of the soil, they will be ready in no time.

Before taking it out of the pot
First of all, arrange them side by side to expand the image.

Since the pots have a pattern
Where will the front be,
Let's make it a plant that looks good from any angle.
I imagined and decided on the arrangement.

And when the image solidifies
Plant them in order from the middle, and create a perimeter according to their height.

If the height of the soil surface is not uniform
When Water, go to a low place
Water accumulates.

While I also planted them one by one
If there is a gap, each time
We proceeded with the work while adding soil.

For those of you who are familiar with it,
Even if the pot is large, it will be a slap in the face
It took about 30 minutes to complete the planting.
