HARAJIRI CYCLE FES 2026 "CLEAN RIDE" ❚ September 27, 2026 The "HARAJIRI CYCLE FES 2026 CLEAN RIDE" will be held at Roadside Station Harajiri Falls in Ogata Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. The international bicycle competition "Mynavi Tour de Kyushu 2026" will take place from October 9 to 12, with the Oita-Kumamoto stage starting from Bungoono City Hall on October 11 (Sunday). This event allows participants to ride part of the course while cleaning around the roadside station before the race. On the day of the event, registration and the opening ceremony will take place at Roadside Station Harajiri Falls, followed by cleaning and litter picking in the surrounding area. After that, participants will cycle from Harajiri Falls to Roadside Station Kiyokawa, which is part of the route that the competitors will take on October 11. Cleaning will also be conducted around Roadside Station Kiyokawa before returning to Harajiri Falls, making it a half-day event. Light refreshments will be provided at both roadside stations. Pre-registration is required to participate. The event is open to those aged middle school and above, with a limit of 20 participants. Makomo and Bamboo Autumn Festival in Hase District ❚ Held on September 27, 2026 The "Makomo and Bamboo Autumn Festival in Hase District" will take place in Inukai Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. Makomo (the Japanese bulrush) is a perennial grass from the rice family, traditionally used for food, crafts, and rituals. The swollen part of its stem is called Makomodake and is edible. The Makomo displayed at the venue has been cultivated on previously abandoned farmland. Compared to rice cultivation, it requires less maintenance and is expected to purify water during its growth, leading to its adoption as a new crop in the region. On the day of the festival, there will be a harvest experience, as well as a moment to listen to the sounds of bamboo flutes. Local vendors will offer Hase Women's Association's Makomo chirashi sushi set and fermented juices. The harvest experience will start at 1 PM with on-site registration. The harvested Makomo can be taken home for cooking, while the leaves and stems can be dried for tea or bundled for shimenawa (a traditional rice straw rope). September 8 2-1-30 Kitakawaramachi, Sakai Ward, Sakai City, Osaka Prefecture A sacred place that connects Kobukuro with their fans. A takeout specialty store filled with passion Kobukuro will celebrate their 25th anniversary in 2024. The store "September 8" was opened by member Shunsuke Kuroda, expressing gratitude to fans and giving back to his hometown of Sakai. Located in Sakai Ginza Shopping Street. This is precisely the place where the duo sang during their street days. The store name is derived from their formation anniversary, and inside, there is a space featuring artwork from their album "QUARTER CENTURY," released to commemorate the 25th anniversary, making it a must-visit "sacred place" for fans. The main menu item is the exquisite "Yakiniku Sandwich," created in collaboration with the extremely popular Sakai restaurant "Yakiniku Osamu-chan" and the long-established "Tezukayama Poire," founded in 1969. Tender meat grilled to perfection is coated with a secret sauce and sandwiched between soft "Takumi Bread". Kuroda himself participated in creating the menu, perfecting the flavor through trial and error. You can also choose a spicy version if you like, and there will be limited-time toppings available as well. Additionally, the coffee is made from carefully selected beans, so it's a great idea to enjoy it as a set.

On September 13, 2026, the "Ono River SUP Geo Tour: Following the River Town from Inukai Port" was held in Mie Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. This experiential tour allowed participants to paddle down the Ono River on stand-up paddleboards (SUP), tracing the river and town from the water. On that day, participants not only enjoyed the beauty of nature but also learned about the risks hidden in the river and the knowledge needed to enjoy it safely, while feeling the historical landscapes of the river and region, including the "Inukai Port Ruins." There will be more unique geo-park experience events in the future. Azumino, a rice-producing region, is known for its traditional landscape of "haze-gake" (rice drying). Although this scene has become rare due to the widespread use of combines... the rice is slowly dried in the sun, resulting in delicious rice. 😄

The sunny landscape of Azumino revealed Mt. Jonen. Lately, rainy days have continued, preventing us from seeing the typical scenery of Azumino... It's a landscape that indicates autumn is approaching.

The flowing water emerging from Azumino is nourished by the spring water from the Northern Alps, cultivating wasabi and Shinshu Salmon. Aquatic plants sway gently, creating a pleasant atmosphere. 😆

After a long time, it’s clear and sunny in Azumino. Perhaps due to the strong winds, the sky shows lenticular clouds, and the weather forecast suggests it might become a midsummer day.

Azumino Chihiro Art Museum ~The World of Children's Paintings by Chihiro Iwasaki and Fumiko Hori~ This is an announcement for the autumn exhibition.
