Hello everyone. This is the Amakusa Reihoku Tourist Association. On March 6–7 (Friday–Saturday), we held a joint product fair with Kikuchi City at the farmers’ market "grape vineyard" in Minami Ward, Fukuoka City. Products representing the proud flavors of Kumamoto Prefecture’s mountains and seas gathered in Fukuoka for a lively event. ■ Collaboration: Kikuchi’s Mountains × Reihoku’s Sea At this product fair, we sold Kikuchi City’s delicious rice and agricultural produce alongside a wide range of seafood and processed goods nurtured by Reihoku’s abundant sea. ■ Interaction with the local community We were able to introduce Reihoku’s food appeal to many food-minded visitors to grape vineyard, and the experience was very meaningful for our staff. Beyond sales, visitors showed interest in Reihoku’s scenery and travel attractions, and we feel the emotional distance between Fukuoka and Reihoku has grown a little smaller. Also, on the first day, Friday, March 6, kumamon came to cheer us on, which thrilled the crowd 🐻 ■ Thank you Thank you very much to everyone who attended and to the staff of grape vineyard for providing the venue. Fukuoka is one of the more younger and vibrant cities in Japan, and for many visitors needs no introduction. The downtown Hakata area with its exciting nightlife and ancient temples is justly famous, and many people enjoy the large urban area of Tenjin, which is always bustling , with a great deal of shops, museums and entertainment. Heading into the slightly more residential area of Nishijin, though, in the more relaxed west of the city, Fukuoka really finds its balance as a place that is modern without losing its touch with tradition, and full of compact convenience without the overwhelming activity of the city center. In particular, the Nishijin Shopping Street is a traditional arcade that you really owe it to yourself to experience. It has a strong Showa vibe, with many small businesses making a living based on their connections to the community. Despite the somewhat antiquated atmosphere, it is near a university and high school, keeping the shopping arcade energetic and full of life, where trendy new things can be found in hole-in-the-wall shops next to more traditional crafts and stores that have been handed down for generations. For an American that has seen many traditional stores run out of small towns to be replaced by the usual big chains, it is inspiring to see not just old shops continuing their business but even new operations flourishing in an area that feels both out of step with modern times and yet very much connected and flourishing.

In Fukuoka, there are more than 100 food stalls, also known as yatai. The delightful aromas of hotpot, gyoza dumplings, yakitori, tempura, and more waft from these casual stalls. Despite our summer visit, the warm weather couldn't dampen the spirits of the food enthusiasts, and the warmth of heartfelt welcome from the stall owners truly touched anyone's heart.

Yakitori Kojima, a small izakaya run by an elderly couple, I learned about yellow yam for the first time at this restaurant, I enjoyed the difference in taste, the sashimi was outstanding, the freshness was outstanding, even if I didn't like raw fish, it didn't smell fishy ★, and the old couple quarreled was one of the ★ things to see, ♪ ★ ★ ★ but the sashimi and ramen were ♪♪ also delicious.

While straddling my bicycle to go shopping, I met a nice red spider liliies on the road along the river that I entered to take a slightly different route today * '∇'* At the red spider liliies that is in full bloom along the Aburayama River in Noaku, Sawara-ku, Fukuoka City, I felt the beginning of autumn at the same time as the end of summer, so I hurried back to take pictures and took a photo session 🍂. red spider liliies has a negative image, but I have ☺️ a bright impression like a fireworks.

From the Hakata Port Bridge, the contrast between the tower, the sea and the city can be seen beautifully. The area around Hakata Port Tower is a place where you can feel the charm of Fukuoka City. More about Fukuoka Rakusuien Fukuoka Rakusuien is one of the most beautiful gardens in Japan. This garden was built by Kuroda Nagamasa in the Edo period and has a history of about 300 years. Rakusuien is a strolling garden with ponds, waterfalls, bridges, tea houses, etc., so you can enjoy the natural atmosphere of the four seasons. Especially in spring, cherry blossoms, plum blossoms, rape blossoms, etc. are in full bloom, and the scenery surrounded by colorful flowers is a masterpiece. Fukuoka Prefecture Rakusuien is a wonderful spot where you can experience the traditional garden culture of Japan.
