In addition, projection mapping is used once an hour to introduce the goodness of Mt. Takao. There is also a café where you can ☕ drink delicious coffee while looking at natureOur students and I have seen specimens, but the Sri Lankan students were very impressed 😊 that they had never had a chance to see it before Mt. Takao There are many rare creatures living there. I think it is a very good experience for students to study in such a place rich in nature.

Mt. Takao Yakuoin Omotesando (Route 1)

A classic way to spend your holidays. I took a walk around the local Mt. Takao in the morning and put my hands together to get rid of the evil at the Yakuo-in in the middle of the mountain.

[English] Setsubun event was held at the school on February 3. Students made ogre masks and enjoyed bean-throwing. Hachioji, where the school is located, has a famous mountain called Mt. Takao, where a Setsubun event is also held every year. In 2020, our school participated in the Setsubun event at Mt. It was a very lively and fun event. On February 3rd, we held a Setsubun event at the school. The students made demon masks and enjoyed mamemaki (bean throwing). In Hachioji, where the school is located, there is a famous mountain called Mt. Takao. Mt. Takao also holds an annual Setsubun event. Our school also participated in the Setsubun event held on Mt. Takao in 2020. It was a very lively and fun event.

If you go further from Takaosan Yakuoin Okunoin, you will find Fuji Sengensha. This was done by Hojo Ujiyasu during the Sengoku period to solicit the Fuji Sengen Great Bodhisattva on Mt. Takao. During the national era, for those who could not go to Fuji from here due to the placement of enemy countries, Fuji Sengen Daibodhisattva was solicited to this Mt. Takao where they could see Mt. Fuji so that they could receive the same benefits without having to go to Mt. Fuji. I was glad that I was born in this peaceful era, that there were times when I could not live such a distance.

#Takaosan Yakuo-in In the midst of the beautiful torii gate and the surrounding greenery, the statues of children look at the scenery below comfortably. Just looking at this staircase made me want to stay here forever, and it was so powerful that I felt good. In this inner Yakuoin, there is that tengu-sama that everyone has seen ^ ^

The scenery changes even more from the entrance of the sanctuary of Mt. Takao, Joshinmon. Joshinmon is a torii gate in the form of "Ryobe torii". Mt. Takao Yakuoin is a temple, but there is a torii gate and other Shinto-Buddhist customs. In the past, shrines and temples were not separated, so I think that Mt. Takao is not something special, but that this is what it should be. In the Shinhendo Hall near the Jōshinmon Gate, the Great Bodhisattva (Performer) is enshrined. If you walk a little past the Shinhendo Hall, you will find "Otokozaka" and "Onnasaka". Onnozaka is gentle, but men's slope has 108 steps. 108 is the number of disturbing emotions. The cliff in front of Otosaka was very tasteful. The mountains are beautiful everywhere, and no matter where you cut them, they become picturesque. I love you, Mt. Takao!

#When you climb up the Otokozaka slope of the Mt. Takao Mountain Trail No. 1, you will find a white #Agogue gate with the word "suffering" expressing it. It was in the back of this that there was one of the best power spots on Mt. Takao. It was written on the sign to walk along the Three Cs road while trying to erase disturbing emotions. After passing through the Three Cs Road, you will see beautiful white buildings. This is a stupa that contains the bones of Buddha #stupa. Since it was sent by the royal family of Thailand, I am convinced that it is such an exotic and beautiful structure. Just looking at Kannon-sama on both sides of the stupa is refreshing. On the left is #Childcare Kannon. Holding a baby like the Virgin Mary. This photo shows Mr. #Kannon who is standing on the right. Coupled with the camellia blooming behind (I went in April), its beauty stopped moving. If you want to climb it, please go through the gate of suffering, walk along the Three Cs Road, and meet the beautiful Kannon-sama.

#Statues of children everywhere on Mt. Takao It was so divine that I took a picture every time I saw it. #Sanroku Doji It is a genus of King Fudo Myō, and each one is said to have 10 million retinue. It is said that when the name of the Sanroku Doji is chanted, evil spirits dissipate, protect those who worship them from behind, and bring longevity. It's hard to remember all the names, but I did learn Wonder Doji and Hara Harado Doji (laughs). I hope I can learn everything slowly. I want to learn what kind of people they are.

From the summit of Mt. Takao in Hachioji City, you can see "Diamond Fuji" as the sun sinks into the crater of Mt. Fuji, which has been registered as a World Heritage Site, on December 17 (Sat) ~ 25 (Sun), 2022 (around the winter solstice in December every year). It is a precious and mysterious sight that can only be seen for a few days in one year, even for a few minutes. You can see Diamond Fuji depending on the weather, so please check the weather forecast before visiting. Mt. Takao can be reached in one hour from central Tokyo, and there are cable cars and lifts to the mountainside, so you can easily visit it. It is very cold in winter now, so please wear warm clothes.
