Tokachi Hills, a garden on a gentle hill in Makubetsu, is hosting Rose Week until Sunday, July 13. At the entrance, you can borrow leisure sheets and baskets for free and enjoy a picnic inside the garden. The café attached to the shop serves soft-serve ice cream, rice balls, curry and more. This time I had a chilled white corn soup made with Memuro-grown corn. There is also Garden Cafe NIWAKARA in the garden, where you can enjoy lunch or a reservation-only afternoon tea while looking over the grounds. Even after Rose Week, various events take place, so please stop by. Tokachi Hills Instagram @tokachihills Garden photos @tokachihillsgardeners Garden Cafe Niwakara @niwakara__tokachihills Access: About a 20-minute drive from obihiro station, or about a 50-minute bike ride from obihiro station. If you cycle from obihiro station, there are uphill sections, so we recommend an electric bicycle. Cycling will give you a good sweat—please watch out for heatstroke. You pass Manabe Garden by bike, so you can visit both gardens on one ride. It takes about 25 minutes by bike from Manabe Garden to Tokachi Hills. https://www.tokachi-hills.jp//

Today (July 10) I covered a hop harvest 😆 It was my first time seeing this year’s hop field... and it was spectacular✨✨ Straight-reaching vines, healthy dark green leaves, and clusters of hops hanging like little bells…!! “It’s a shame this view will be gone after today!” I said as I gazed with the grower 👀 With preparations complete, it was time to harvest 💪 There were so many cones that even removing the supporting wires was a struggle 💦 We filled bags with the harvested hops, and I worried they might not all fit on the truck we were loading back with today 😂 These hops will be processed into beer with a fresh, lively aroma 🍺 I tasted last year’s brew too — it had a refreshing scent and went down easy 😆👍 I can’t wait to try this year’s beer 😍

Notice of the End of the After Hydrangea Festival The hydrangeas floated in the tanks around the monument at Izukyu Shimoda Station rotary were well received by many visitors, and for a brief while everyone could enjoy a beautiful sight 💐✨ Although the display was originally scheduled to run until Tuesday, July 16, we decided to remove the flowers on the evening of Friday, July 11 due to consecutive days of extreme heat. This being the first attempt at this exhibition, we conducted the trial under three challenging conditions—hydrangeas past their peak in the garden, near-summer temperatures, and water—while worrying how long the blossoms could remain beautiful. We implemented all possible measures, including rotating flowers and topping up the tanks, but under the midsummer-like sun it proved difficult to preserve their beauty, so we made the decision to end the display earlier than planned. We sincerely apologize to everyone who was looking forward to it and ask for your understanding. Next fun thing in Shimoda: swimming at the beach 🏖️ Please continue to enjoy everything Shimoda has to offer 🌊🍧🎐

\ ✨💠After the Hydrangea Festival💠✨ /
Starting today, July 2nd, hydrangeas are floating in the monument tank at Izukyū Shimoda Station rotary.💠🫧
The hydrangeas were carefully pruned by the staff in charge of Shimoda Park, and they will remain on display until Wednesday, July 16th.
Even hydrangeas that have passed their peak in the park look fresh and beautiful when floated on the water!
There are especially many blue hydrangeas, which stand out against the summer sky and give a very refreshing impression.🌿🩵
If you are nearby, please stop by and take a look!

*Only authorized personnel have pruned or collected plants within Shimoda Park.

[Recommended Power Spot in Miyoshi ✨] This is Shina Falls in Kisa, Miyoshi City. The three waterfalls known as Shina Falls lie within a 1.5 km gorge stretching from Kisa to Konu. A well-maintained, gentle walking trail leads you to the largest fall, Ichi no Taki, which drops about 11 m. (Photo) You can spot many wild animals and plants here. Besides the three main falls, small cascades appear here and there, so you can fully enjoy the great outdoors 😊 *From Ni no Taki to San no Taki you sometimes have to climb the streambed and cross the river using ropes. Make sure you have proper gear, and watch out for snakes 🐍.* Where are your favorite power spots in Miyoshi? Please tell us in the comments! At Manabe Garden in Obihiro, hydrangeas are beginning to bloom little by little. At the garden entrance, a gnome-like fairy known in Europe as a guardian of the garden welcomes visitors. A film set from the morning drama series Natsuzora is also on display beside the entrance and next to the café on the lawn terrace. After strolling through the garden, why not enjoy lunch or a cold sweet at the café? The sweets menu includes three parfaits—the ice brulee parfait, the Strawberry Green Garden parfait, a coffee jelly parfait—as well as soft-serve ice cream. This time I had the ice brulee parfait—what a blissful moment. It has been hot every day, so please enjoy summer sightseeing while staying hydrated. Minami Furano, Shintoku, Shikaoi I made a pamphlet in three neighboring towns 📕 In the middle of Hokkaido, we introduce delicious Gourmet food made with good trees, good water, good snow, the blessings of nature, and a variety of activities experiences. This pamphlet is not only packed with the charm of the three towns on National Route 38 and 274, Each town is color-coded and easy to see. You can catch detailed Information by searching with the QR code on the page. The colors of each of the three towns are... Minamifurano Town - "Swaying lavender🪻 of Lake Kanayama" Shintoku Town – "The deep blues🫐 of Lake Sahoro" Shikaoi Town - "Transparent Aqua Marine 💚 of Lake Shirabetsu" The overall use of gentle colors and the matte and elegant paper texture make it a pamphlet that you can feel Commitment. As digitization progresses, it is a retrograde paper pamphlet, but I would like you to pick it up once and turn the page. (Personally, I would like 💡 you to pay attention to the sound of turning the page.) It seems unusual for neighboring towns to have a joint pamphlet. So when you come to the Roadside Station or the Tourism Association Window, please pick it up, look at it, and touch it! We look forward to seeing you💁 ‍♀️ #Hokkaido #Shintoku Town #Minamifurano Town #Shikaoi #Shintoku #Nanpu #Shikaoi #Shintoku Tourism Association #Minami Furano Town Planning Tourism Association #Shikaoi Town Tourism Association #Joint of 3 towns #Brochure #hokkaido #hokkaidotrip #hokkaidotourism #tourism #shintoku #minamihurano #shikaoi #welcomeshintoku #discovershintoku

Confectionery Judo On this day, the gluttonous Kasai was lured by the sweet Aroma as usual and visited Judo-san! On the day of the event, the person who dealt with the gluttonous Kasai was Mr. TakeVillage. The company was founded about 64 years ago. Judo is Famous in the Locals for its ankoro mochi, dango, and shionaka. This "ankoro mochi" is often served at funerals in the Suwa region. I was born and raised in Suwa, but in the Suwa region, I have never heard of and custom of "moon viewing". There are and Botamochi have often heard. Gluttonous Kasai bought Swiss rolls, daifuku, and Dango. The cut roll was gentle and high-quality fresh cream, and on this day, chestnuts were included, and it was so delicious that it became addictive. Daifuku is also recommended for women because the bean paste is not sweet and the mochi is soft, and it is a size that can be eaten Anytime! The Dango is exquisite, the sauce wraps the Dango tightly, and it is easy to purchase because it is a full-scale meal! As a glutton, I 🎶 was also curious about the "appuru cake" in the showcase On this day, it was not in the showcase, but my Gourmet master's "Sacchan Master" in the Information Center in front of the station is Exquisite cream puffs and seems to be recommended to everyone!! If you have the opportunity, please buy it!! Mr. TakeVillage's best was ankoro mochi, dango, and salt! ◎ Sweets Judo 📍 2-1-17 Suwa, Suwa City ☎ 0266-52-2555 ◎ Business hours : 08:00 - 17:30 ◎ Regular holiday: January 1, Not opens (Vacation once a month) ◎ Car parking lot: 2 cars (in front of the house next to the store and in front of the parking lot on the right side across the road from the store entrance Car ) Today, Gluttony Kasai went to Kotobuki-dou. Mr.Takemura introduce me about Kotobuki-dou. The Kotobuki-dou is famous for Ankoro mochi, Dango and salty Monaka. I saw Ankoro mochi in funeral. This is regional persists habit around suwa area. Also, this area, I don’t listen so much about Otsukimi (Moon viewing). The day I bought Daifuku, roll cake and Dango. Rolled cake was not too sweet, the cream was so smooth and soft. The Daifuku also not too sweet, the size is bite sized. So, it is easy to eat even kids and women. Dango is also bite sized. Mitarashi sauce is so fit together well. Hmmm… So nice! I was curious about apple cake too. My gourmet master “Satchan” taught me, her recommendation is “Cream Puff”. But that day wasn’t there. I’ll try again other day! Mr.Takemura’s recommendation is Daifuku, Dango and salty Monaka. ◎ Sweets place Kotobuki-dou ◎2-1-17 Suwa, Suwa City ☎ 0266-52-2555 ◎ Opening Hours: 08:00 - 17:30 ◎ Regular holiday: January 1st, irregular holiday (closed once a month) ◎ Parking lot: 2 cars (please see 10th, 11th picture))

At the end of World War II, the fighter "Shidenkai" is said to have gathered the best of Japanese aviation technology at that time. Did you know that the "only actual machine existing in Japan" is on display at the Shidenkai Exhibition Hall in Ainan Town, Ehime Prefecture? This aircraft is said to have crash-landed in Kura Bay, Ainan Town, Ehime Prefecture at the end of World War II, and was accidentally discovered by a local diver in Showa 53 (Showa 53), and since Ehime Prefecture salvaged it in July of the following year, it has been opened to the public, conveying the preciousness of peace along with the memory of the war in which many lives were lost. This time, the Shidenkai on display has been certified as the 13th example of an "Important Aviation Heritage" where historically valuable aircraft are selected, but the exhibition facilities is being rebuilt due to deterioration after 45 years. With the Maintenance of the new exhibition hall, it There are necessary to Implementation the relocation of the aircraft, but since careful relocation work is necessary with the utmost consideration for the "Shidenkai" aircraft, Ehime Prefecture has decided to ask for donations through crowdfunding using Furusato Nozei in order to ask for the help of many people for part of the cost. Now, 80 years after the end of World War II, the number of people who experienced the war is decreasing year by year, and I sincerely ask for your warm support so that Shidenkai can continue to pass on the memory of war and the importance of lasting peace to future generations through its appearance. The donation is 5,000 yen or more per unit, and thank-you gifts are prepared according to the amount, and in addition to ornaments with prefectural pearls and original sneakers with the motif of Shidenkai, models of aircraft will be given for expensive donations, but due to the system, people living in Ehime Prefecture cannot receive them.

The hot days continue, and there are few people for the purpose of walking around the Castle Town ... In the summer, Kitsuki enjoys marine sports, the campsite is crowded, and the Castle Town is a little Vacation. Meanwhile, I was also and curious about how hot it was, and in the morning ... Even though it was cool, I took a walk around the town at 33 degrees Celsius. Today, I'm posting with a slightly rough feeling. Tea shop to cool off, flower shop with flowers in the heat of the past few days ... And such? If you walk a little, you can stop by the ice cream shop of your grandmother, who is over 90 years old, and if you take a peek at the shared kitchen space with House guests, Shokudo if you look at it, the daily lunch is an omelet 💚. The heat was terrible, but it was good to see all kinds of people, and it was good to see good things such as a nostalgic mailbox that had been repainted beautifully before I knew it. I will post it separately to everyone. Please be careful of this heat.

Hiroshima Miyoshi DMO
Jul. 7, 2025
If you come to Miyoshi, stop here! Preserving Miyoshi’s soul food People come from Tokyo, Osaka, Kyushu and all over Japan to taste Miyoshi’s soul food, wani (wani), and many visit this place. This is Fujita Foods in Megurikami, Miyoshi City. As one of the country’s rare specialty shops for wani cuisine, it has been featured in numerous media outlets and magazines. In Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, "wani" refers to shark meat. This regional dialect term describes a highly preservable food that was valued in inland areas without access to the sea. It remains a traditional local dish often served at celebratory gatherings. When you come here, you must try the "wani sashimi" (one serving 500 yen). At Fujita Foods, they serve fresh "wani sashimi" rather than frozen. Shark suited for raw consumption is rare and hard to obtain, so many rely on frozen stock. Fujita Foods has partnered with four ports nationwide and developed its own route to transport freshly landed wani to Miyoshi immediately. The fresh "wani sashimi" is softly tender with a subtle sweetness. Its clean texture makes it easy to enjoy many slices! "Many visitors leave here stunned, saying, 'I didn’t know wani sashimi could be this delicious!'" says owner Mr. Fujita. In the past, wani was an indispensable celebratory ingredient for Miyoshi people at autumn festivals and New Year’s gatherings. In recent years, improved transportation and a wider variety of sashimi options have led to a decline in the custom of eating wani. Wani is high in protein, low in calories, and rich in beauty-enhancing collagen and DHA. "I want people to taste something truly delicious. I want to pass Miyoshi’s traditional food on to younger generations," says Mr. Fujita, who works daily to promote wani cuisine. When you visit Miyoshi, be sure to try fresh wani!!
