I got another good workout done today. Just gotta keep at it. I was hoping to see Blue Impulse today but I didn't see them anywhere overhead and didn't manage to hear any jets in the air either. I saw a lot of photos being posted on social media though so that was pretty cool. I'm looking forward to checking out the Paralympics though, hopefully it gets good coverage on tv. I'm not really a coffee drinker but lately I've been trying different coffees from the local convenience store in an attempt to find one that I like. I tried the Boss coffee today since I always see commercials for it and it seems to be pretty popular, but it seemed a bit watery to me so I think I'm going to have to keep searching. If anyone has any coffee recommendations for me I'd love to hear them lol

When it comes to Japan summer, wind chimes are indispensable! So, I went to Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine in Kawagoe City, Saitama Prefecture. I tried to express "Japan summer" by adding summer sunlight and wind chimes.

Man the rain today was pretty crazy for a bit. Glad that it stopped sooner than later. Wasn't able to find any parks this weekend, was busy being a nurse for my girlfriend after she received her second dose of the vaccine lol. Bit of a shorter post today as I'm pretty tired from doing that over the weekend. Wasn't able to get any decent pictures this weekend sadly, but I did get this picture of a fountain near Toyo Station. Thought that the statues were quite interesting so I managed to take a quick snap of it before leaving. Was hard to get a good angle because of the pillars being so close to the fountain, but I did my best.

Morning at Sanohsan Nature Park in Ibaraki

This is strawberry shaved ice from a shaved ice shop called "Japan Ichi" in Gunma. The ice is made from Chichibu's natural ice, and you can change it to Nikko's natural ice. In addition, the strawberry syrup is made by hand and has a good balance of acidity and sweetness, and as the name of the store says, I think it is the best in the hot summer. I think that shaved ice is indispensable in the summer of Japan, and now there are various shaved ice in Japan all over the country, and I think it has become more familiar. I took a picture of such shaved ice not by the whole thing, but by focusing on the parts that looked delicious.

I was ☺️? energized by the sunflowers who seemed to be dancing happily.

It will be the time of last year's Perseid meteor shower. While the surroundings were cheering for shooting stars, I was ? impressed by the summer Milky Way towering in front of me. It is ?? such a superb view of summer in Japan

It was a windy day and it was not suitable for shooting, but I managed to take a picture of the blue sky and sunflowers.

And it's Friday! Was really feeling the soreness in my muscles today after working out yesterday, but it's a good feeling. Need to get a better workout for my lower stomach though, only feeling it in my mid-section really. I'd like to find a park where I can work out as well. A place with like some pull up bars where I can work on pull ups and general calisthenics besides just weight lifting at home. There are quite a few parks in Tokyo though so it shouldn't be too hard to find something. Just don't to get in the way of other people using the park. Was able to take a nice photo of a river running through Meguro today as well. Not sure which one but I think it'd look nice in the spring or fall, so maybe I'll have to go back in a few months and see if the leaves around it have changed color. Praying for good weather this weekend but we'll see. At the very least I'd like to do some laundry lol. This is a sunflower field taken in Showa Kinen Park in summer. When it comes to summer, I feel better when I see these bright yellow sunflowers, and I think I feel brighter. I think it is a summer staple that you feel summer while it is blooming vigorously, and feel that the end of summer is near as it gradually wilts.
