9:00 ~ 19:00 Nov. 27th in 2024 Today I went to Engetsu-dou Hompo which is Japanese traditional sweets (Wagashi) shop in Suwa city! “Wa” means Japan. “Gashi” means sweets. So, Japanese traditional sweets call Wagashi? They have two shops in Suwa, Shimizu-machi area and Fukujima area. I went to Fukujima location. Don’t you notice about pictures??? Did you? I was focus for Wagashi… That’s why I forgot to take a picture about Engetsu-dou’s exterior… That’s big mistake! Horrible!!! I’m so sorry about that. I’m gluttony. Wagashi was right front of me, I lost from Wagashi’s temptation. So, I forgot took the shop’s exterior photo… Ms. Katagiri (landlady) introduce her shop and Wagashi. They founded in 1946. About 78 years. The shop was front of Kamisuwa station. They started with the different name of the shop. It became Engetsu-dou in 1950. Shimizu-machi branch opened in 1958. Fukujima branch opened in 1992. I asked her, “what is your recommendation Wagashi?” She told me Kojou Monaka and Kabuto Monaka. Monaka is a Japanese sweet that is bean‐jam‐filled wafers. Also, she said “You can enjoy Wagashi every season, and each shop has original sweetened red bean paste. So, you can enjoy to find your favorite shop. Now, gradually increasing foreign customers. I think they realized Wagashi is less than calories compare to cake.” ★ Engetsu-dou Hompo Fukushima branch 📍Nakasu-Fukushima, 5398-1 Suwa city, Nagano Pref. ☎ 0266-58-1547 ◎ Business hours: 9:00 ~ 19:00 ◎ Regular holiday: Shimizu and Fukushima stores, every Tuesday ★ Engetsu-dou Hompo Shimizu branch 📍Shimizu 1-2-12 Suwa city, Nagano Pref. ☎ 0266-52-1543 ◎ Business hours: 9:00 ~ 19:00

Located a 10-minute walk from Izukyu Shimoda Station, "Ryosenji Temple" is indispensable for talking about the history of the opening of Shimoda. On November 8th, "Sushi Shirabo 302" opened in the Car parking lot of Ryosenji Temple. When you want to efficiently tour the compact Shimoda City area, when you want to have a light snap, when you want to enjoy a pleasant conversation with the shopkeepers, when you eat too much breakfast at the inn, but if you come to Shimoda, you want to eat sushi! You can feel free to drop by when you are (^^)/ The nigiri hands are several "sideline sushi chefs". Everyone trained for several months and made their debut ✨ at the same time as the store opened It seems that you usually do a completely different job. There are also people who come from outside the prefecture. In Shimoda, a new type of sushi restaurant "Sushi Shirabo" was planned by the fourth generation of the popular sushi restaurant "Mimatsu Sushi" in the city, trained sushi chefs on the side, and opened it. Please stop by and Please enjoy it when you take a walk around the city! You may also be able to meet a "recommended" side sushi chef (⋈◍>◡<◍). ✧

The reason why foreigners are interested in the Japanese language is "The beauty of the Japanese language. I often hear that the reason why foreigners are interested in the Japanese language is "the beauty of the Japanese language. Using the calligraphy skills learned through the calligraphy experience, students write their favorite kanji characters on fans and hanging scrolls of their choice. The master calligrapher will then take the kanji back to your bag with his expert brush strokes. Since each kanji character has multiple meanings, it is important to know what other meanings they have. Knowing the meaning will make the bag shine. #brush #kanji #shodo #travel memories #cultural experience

【The sound of revived drums】 December 1 (Sun) At the Kobe Town residents charity performance, from Nishiokoppe Village I played the Uensiri Drum. He performed one short song of about 6 minutes. From winter to Spring, it represented the scene of Mt. Uensiri waking up from the melting snow. I am very happy to have received warm applause and words of support from many. Because it's a big deal I would like to tell you a little about the history of the revival of Japanese Drums in Nishiokoppe Village. Japanese Drum performances began in Nishiokoppe Village in the 1980s. At that time, the beaters were the Local Youth Group. The powerful sound of the young people enlivened the festivals. The song that was played from that time was "Uensiri Drum". At that time, the song was composed by an elementary school teacher, and it was played until about 2000. After that, from the dissolution of the youth group, etc. The Drums, who were no longer beating, slept for a long time without being played. Along the way, there was a period when a volunteer Japanese Drum Circle was active, but it became difficult to Kiss a lecturer due to the corona vortex, and the sound of the Drum stopped completely. The movement took place in August of this year. "When the performing arts are revived, let's revive the drums as well." Former drummers and Village people who excelled in music analysis joined forces to learn the Uensiri Drum. Although it was a group of amateurs, it was made up of seven enthusiastic people. The Uensiri Drum roared again. After that, several Village residents who heard the performance at the performance party joined the group and continue their activities to this day. I had a and connection with him, and I was able to have the opportunity to perform at the Kobe Town residents' charity performance. Although it is a group that has only been formed for a short time, we are approached from inside and outside the Village in this way, and we put a lot of effort into practice. It's been a bit long. I think it takes a lot of energy to start something that has been interrupted and continue to do so. I would be happy if the members continued to enjoy their activities and conveyed this to the listeners. #Nishiokoppe Village #Hokkaido #Drum #Uensiri Drum #Kobe Town #Town residents charity performance #December 1 #Youth Dan #Japanese Drum #I am a photographer

The practice of swordsmanship was intended above all to nurture the mind. The samurai, through diligent practice and extreme concentration, desired to attain a state of unthoughtfulness, free of attachment or preoccupation, and thus able to respond instantly. A warrior is prepared to die each morning. In the quiet moments of the morning, he imagines himself being struck by lightning, doused by fire, or cut to pieces with a sword or spear. It is hard to remember that one step outside the doorway is the world of death. #Honor #Bushido #samuraisord #katana
