Yashagaike shows different faces depending on the season. The deep greens of spring and summer are lovely, but how about the fiery autumn foliage? From the trailhead on the Fukui Prefecture side, it takes about two hours to reach Yashagaike. Try climbing at various times of the year!

A mysterious, legendary pond lies tucked in the mountains, reached by a trekking course rich in nature.
Sitting at about 1,100 meters above sea level, the pond is remarkably clear and the trail is designed so even beginner hikers can enjoy it.
Fresh spring greenery and autumn foliage both shine here, offering a different face each season.
The hiking path is well maintained, and viewpoints along the way offer sweeping views of the Echizen mountain range.

The 2nd “Amakusa Reihoku Literary Stroll” sightseeing route creation workshop was held🎊 Last week on August 21, the second workshop was held in Reihoku to develop a sightseeing walking route so visitors can enjoy the town’s literary spots and heritage as new tourism resources✨ Held with the aim of revitalizing tourism “together with local people,” the second session proved a rich time in which the more we dug, the more literary treasures of Reihoku we uncovered👏 In particular, participants were treated to a carefully delivered, realistic walking-tour-style guided explanation by Mr. Kanzaki, the president of the Guides Association, who projected images as he spoke. This gave everyone a renewed understanding of the local area and created a lively atmosphere♪ The next workshop, the third session, is scheduled for Thursday, September 25 from 2:00 to 3:00 PM‼ We plan an enjoyable workshop full of activities that delve more deeply into literature and the history of Reihoku, so please join us👀 *We will open recruitment for participants on our website in early September.* We are also collecting ideas and insider information from those who cannot attend the workshops to help shape the walking route. Please take part in our survey via the announcements section on our website! Contact: Amakusa Reihoku Tourism Association (General Incorporated Association), Ogata ☎ 0969-31-1136 *This workshop is being held as part of the Kumamoto Future Creation Startup Subsidy Project for fiscal year Reiwa 7.*

On August 24, 2025, the Suga-o Stone Buddha Fire Festival took place in Mie-machi, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. At the “Rooster Crow Imitation Contest,” inspired by a local legend, participants imitated rooster calls in their own styles, filling the venue with smiles. On stage, the bold drumming of Toyukai and the dances of Matsuo Kagura were performed. In the latter half of the festival, a torch-throwing event called “Taima-nage” took place, in which flaming torches were thrown from below into a roughly 3-meter-high pine pillar to ignite it, and many children gave it a try. ■■■ Access to central Bungoono City ■■■ About a 3-hour drive from JR Hakata Station, Fukuoka Prefecture About a 2-hour drive from JR Kumamoto Station, Kumamoto Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Beppu Station, Oita Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Yufuin Station, Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Introducing sightseeing and recommended spots in Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture, Kyushu ■■■■■■■■■■■■

Children during summer Vacation We get together after noon to have a strategy meeting, make costumes for ghosts, and hunt for insects for a candy party. This day was also the day of the bookstore on a business trip from Shimokawa Town. Pom was full of books and a lot of children. In the evening, the long-awaited Squid split. On the way, the owner of Yukimichi Shobo told me a scary story, but it seems that the number of people who listened to it gradually decreased during the process. I wonder if I was pretty scared. In a cool place Hand-held fireworks festival before saying goodbye! There were many fireworks that they brought with us. Hold it with both hands, Summary a few sparklers and light them. Summer Memories of Bungo-Ono, Oita Prefecture On August 14, the Kodai Torch Fire Festival took place in Ogata Town, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture. At 7:30 p.m., torches were lit all at once, and the lights of the torches prepared by the local community rose up in a dreamlike display across the area around Harajiri Falls and the Ogata rice fields. Flame sculptures made from torches that depict torii gates and stone bridges are also beautiful. Upstream from Harajiri Falls stands the stone Harajiri Bridge, and the sight of torches glowing on the stone bridge is very beautiful. ■■■ Access to central Bungoono City ■■■ About a 3-hour drive from JR Hakata Station in Fukuoka Prefecture About a 2-hour drive from JR Kumamoto Station in Kumamoto Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Beppu Station in Oita Prefecture About a 1 hour 20 minute drive from JR Yufuin Station in Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■ Tourism and recommended spots in Kyushu, Bungoono City, Oita Prefecture ■■■■■■■■■■■■

"Summer wake watched over by Torii (shrine gate)" I wake up at 5 a.m. and rub my blurry eyes to see if I'm going for a walk. On the road in front of my house, I hear the sound of a motorcycle passing by with a roaring sound. At that moment Squid inside me – my soul echoes hotly. It's been about a year since I got my license. Make your favorite Super Cub 50-chan your buddy I've been to a lot of places. On this day I make a decision. The highest mileage in the past I'm going to repaint it. The best record was about 90 km to Chichibu But that's not enough. Go beyond your past self. Sightseeing spot with enthusiasm and excitement on the spot. According to GPT, it is about 120 km away. It seems that there is a Famous Sightseeing spot called Lake Ashi. Squid, isn't it? Because he is a high school student who has no friendships, Alone with emptiness, I hold the steering wheel. While panting in the blazing summer sun Finally, you arrive at your destination. The time is 11 a.m. The Hakone Shrine, which was crowded with tourists, It seems to be Famous for its Power spot. While witnessing the huge Torii (shrine gate), Squid somewhere good photo spot Carry the legs. The photo Spot I finally found is It was like an embankment of a fishing spot. When I hold the Z FC-chan that I recently bought and look for a subject It's reminiscent of a wonderfully squishy summer My eyes are attracted to the clouds. While putting a big Torii (shrine gate) as the subject of this When the shutter is pressed, A ship reminiscent of a pirate ship comes to us from the back. Finding the best position, this is the place to be This photo was taken at the right time. Feeling lonely, with Lake Ashi in the background On the way home. Return, because there was a sea nearby I stopped there. Sandy beaches and the sea as far as the eye can see. One set of families, I was playing with the sea. This is quite a hidden gem, and there are few people Overlooking the sandy beach. However, the temperature on this day was 37 degrees. In the midst of the hot gaze of Tendou-sama in the middle of summer I wonder if the desire for sea water will disappear. Held in the winning championship for the person who finds the roundest stone possible. I was the only participant, so I had a bye. You don't notice the waves that are approaching your feet crazy, and your shoes are waves I was drenched. Souvenirs of cobblestones and finally return home. The huge road is very congested. While wrestling with tiredness and drowsiness Finally to the end point. Aroma of the sea and sweat when I took off my shoes.
