【English/Japanese】 I went to the rooster market in Hachioji with some of my students! There is an Otori Shrine about a 5-minute walk from Hachioji Station. I was impressed by the lucky and gorgeous decorations. Moreover, the sight of shopkeepers calling out good luck to customers who buy them was just like Japanese culture, and the students were very excited. On the way home, we bought a specialty of the rooster market, kirisansho (rice cakes covered with a spice called sansho). It was very delicious. There are two more rooster fairs to come. We hope you will visit the rooster market as well. I went to the Hachioji Tori no Ichi with my students! There is Otori Shrine about a 5-minute walk from Hachioji Station. Impressed by the auspicious and luxurious decoration. In addition, the sight of the shop staff shouting auspicious things to customers who bought them was a reflection of Japanese culture itself, and the students were also excited. On the way back, I bought Tori no Ichi's famous kiri sansho (mochi sprinkled with spices called sansho). It was very tasty. There are two more Tori no Ichi. Please come and visit us.

We are Kamogawa Hot spring Lien. We opened on the 8th of August, 2022. A Japanese-style architecture built in the image of an old Japanese inn. The warmth and fragrance of gentle wood with a beautiful sea spreading out before your eyes. There are a water features in front of the rooms and in front of the lobby reflect the moon at night and wave with the wind, making the Open-air baths even more beautiful at night. The open-air baths are just about the size where you can stretch out your legs and spend a relaxing time while looking up at the sky. At the time of the opening, there were no trees between the private rooms and the inn, but now, as the trees grew, you can enjoy your privacy and no longer have to worry about the line of sight across the street. Of course, the view of the beautiful ocean remains absolutely unobstructed. There are 10 rooms in total. Four of them are included dinner served at each room. The dining restaurant has 6 private rooms with a view of the mountain side. The room I would like to introduce today is "Shiun". [ CONCEPT ] Auspicious Pattern: Futatsumaru Ryu (Dragon) Theme Color: Aoheki (Blue) Revered as the god of water, the dragon has deepened people's faith as a symbol of protection and fertility. The design motif is Futatsumaru Ryu, which symbolises strength. The interior and furnishings are coordinated with the blue theme colour which evokes the mountains surrounding Rian. [Room type] Separate Western-style room, bedroom (2 semi-double Simmons beds) (70m²) Barrier-free, open-air hot spring bath (Kamogawa Onsen "Nagisa no Yu") + indoor bath / terrace [Capacity] Ideally for 2 people but could fit up to 3. [In-room facilities] Air-conditioning and heating / Western-style toilet with washlet / Safe / Moobibear high-speed balanced ion dryer / 55-inch TV (NETFLIX available) / Wireless LAN / Refrigerator / Kettle / Espresso machine / Tea set / Air Dog (high-performance air cleaner) All rooms are non-smoking. [Englsih] Cafe Kojika is a 10-minute walk from Hachioji Station. The interior of Cafe Kojika is decorated in the 1970s, so you can enjoy your meal in an old Japanese house. The prices are all one coin and even better, they were very tasty ?My top recommendation is the cream soda. You can have your favorite color juice made. There are many international students who would like to do a homestay. However, due to the corona, they don't have a chance to do a homestay, so I recommend this kind of old house café to such students. Cafe Oga is a 10-minute walk from Hachioji Station. Hachioji Ramen is a popular local ramen that Hachioji City, Tokyo is proud of. It is a light and gentle ramen based on soy sauce, and it uses chopped onions as ingredients and fat floats on the surface of the soup. Although it is made simple, it has been featured in many media, and it has become a local ramen in Tokyo, with many fans from far away as well as local Hachioji! Hachioji ramen has a long history, and more than 60 years ago, in Showa 34 (1959), a certain shop that ran a delicatessen in front of Kitano Station decided to move to Koyasu Town due to relocation due to land readjustment, so I thought it would be difficult to be a delicatessen because it would be difficult to be a delicatessen. At that time, the mainstream ramen shop was a Chinese restaurant that served food delivery, so the restaurant, which specialized in ramen and tried to make a living only by selling it in-store, went through trial and error to create some characteristics. At that time, I happened to come across a ramen shop with "kizami onions" on a trip to Hokkaido. However, although the ramen I ate in Hokkaido had a good texture, the pungency of the onions could not be removed, and as a result of repeated ingenuity, I came up with the oil as a result of my devise to make a soup that somehow removed the pungent taste without spoiling the texture of the onions. The oil suppressed the pungency of the onions and enhanced the sweetness, and the prototype of today's Hachioji ramen was born.
