With Mt. Iwate, known as "Nanbu Katafuji," in the background, Koiwai Farm's single cherry blossoms stand in a vast meadow. It is an imposing cherry tree with a height of about 20 meters and is said to be more than 100 years old. The sight of a single cherry blossom blooming dignified against the background of the majestic Mt. Iwate where snow remains is said to be a symbol of spring in Shizukuishi Town. The contrast between the colorful cherry blossoms and the lush meadows was enough to see the unique scenery of the farm.

Shintoku Tourism Association
Apr. 19, 2023
Hello! ?‍♀️ Shintoku Tourism Association. Today, when the cold returned a little, I went to Shintoku Shrine ⛩️ to see cherry blossoms. It was cloudy and ?️ cold, so I wondered ?? if the buds were getting smaller, and I drove to the middle of the shrine. If you look into the buds of the same branches of the tree. It doesn't seem to change much... ? No, it's darker and more pink ? than yesterday. When I asked the priest who was in front of the shrine office, he said, "I think it's 2~3 days left." You'll be able to see cherry blossoms in full bloom this weekend! ? Also, now is the best time to see azaleas and forsythia! ✨ #Hokkaido #Tokachi #Shintoku #Mt. First of all, I would like to introduce hot springs that heal both the mind and body. Tokachigawa Onsen was 2004 (Heisei 16) selected as a Hokkaido Heritage Site ahead of many hot spring resorts in Hokkaido with its rare spring quality in the world. Tokachigawa Onsen is famous as a rare "mall hot spring" in Japan. Mohr is derived from the German word for lignite, etc., and is a hot spring that gushes out through lignite beds containing plant-based organic matter from ancient times, and the color of the water is amber and a slightly sloppy feeling. The hotels, inns, and other accommodations lined up in the hot spring town are full of elaborate open-air baths and indoor baths, and you can enjoy the hot springs of beauty to your heart's content, and there are also facilities where you can take a day trip to the hot spring. Otofuke's sights are so full of charm that you will lose track of time. Roadside Station Garden Spa Tokachigawa Onsen is like a treasure chest with a market where fresh local ingredients and specialties gather, a spa where you can enjoy the Hokkaido Heritage Mall Onsen in a swimsuit, an experience workshop, and four restaurants. At the Tokachi Ranch, which boasts a vast site, a magnificent view of Tokachi spreads out 360 degrees from the observation deck inside the ranch. From mid-January to the end of February, snow exercises are open to the public as part of horse health management. At Yanagigetsu Sweetpia Garden, you can get a glimpse of the manufacturing process of popular confectionery makers and experience making sweets. Tokachigaoka Park is the perfect place to enjoy with your family, with seasonal flowers blooming around Hanak, a large flower clock with a diameter of 18 meters and a second hand length of 10 meters and 10 centimeters. Otofuke Tokachigawa Onsen is full of attractive events. Why don't you be fascinated by the light of fireflies that color Tokachigawa Onsen at night in "Moor Hot Spring Firefly Viewing" in early summer? Many tourists come to enjoy the wild dance of fireflies and spend a special time where you can feel the symbiosis with nature. The gorgeous event "Sairinka" held in winter creates a fantastic space where about 600 light objects, including a symbol tower of up to 5.4 meters, are linked with sound and light. Tokachigawa Onsen Otofuke Hokkaido hosts a variety of attractive events throughout the year, including these events. Along with hot springs, sightseeing spots, and delicious gourmet food, we hope you will enjoy seasonal events. Yubari Tourism Association
Apr. 19, 2023
Yubari City, Hokkaido is located in the central Hokkaido region of central Hokkaido and is a city with many attractive sightseeing spots interwoven with nature and history. When many people hear the name "Yubari City", the words "Yubari Melon" and "Financially Bankrupt City" may come to mind. Yubari City also once prospered due to the coal industry, one of the main industries of the Japan. However, as time changed and the demand for coal decreased, Yubari City was affected by it, and by 1990, all the coal mines were closed and the city was in a difficult situation. After that, it experienced financial collapse in 2007, but now measures are being taken to revitalize the city. Yubari City has such a history, but it is about 60 minutes from New Chitose Airport, the northern gateway, and about 90 minutes from Sapporo, making it a popular tourist destination. At the Yubari City Coal Museum, you can learn about the history of the coal industry in Yubari City and learn about the development of Yubari City. Dynamic exhibitions that utilize actual coal mining sites as tourism resources are popular and have become a place visited by many tourists. Yubari City is rich in nature as well as from the summit of Mt. Yubari at an altitude of 1,668 meters, and a 360-degree panoramic view spreads out, and you can see the beautiful scenery of the four seasons. In addition, with the completion of the Yubari Shuparo Dam in 2015, you can enjoy aquatic activities such as canoeing at Lake Shuparo, which has become the fourth largest water reservoir in the Japan. At the waterfall top park, colorful flowers and trees grow over, and you can feel the four seasons of Yubari City closely. The "Chidoriga Falls" in the park is a superb view of countless large and small waterfalls and strangely shaped rocks. If you come to Yubari City for sightseeing, please enjoy gourmet food and masterpieces. Speaking of Yubari City, Yubari Melon! Why not taste the sweet and juicy Yubari melon in summer? Yubari potatoes and canned beans are also popular gourmets. The population was 116,000 in 1960, when coal mining flourished, but today it is less than 7,000. Yubari City is sometimes compared to a ghost town, but if you actually visit, you can learn about the history of Japan industry and enjoy nature and gourmet food. After about 16 years since 2007, Yubari City has reached the goal of paying off its debt in four years. In order for citizens and tourists to come back to Yubari City after paying off their debts, we would like to introduce the attractions such as sightseeing spots and history of Yubari City in the Cool Japan Video!
