A Rakugo performance by the Kan'entei Ichimon will be held in the area associated with the famous "Kongen-tei Basho"!
Enjoy a variety of Rakugo performances and the unique atmosphere of a live performance that you can't experience anywhere else.
This year is the Year of the Horse! There will be a special lottery to commemorate the Year of the Horse 🐎 We hope to see you there! ✨

I attended the grand festival at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine and Kakinomoto Shrine.
Around Kakinomoto Shrine, you can see Gioiko, a type of double-flowered cherry blossom known as green sakura.

Today, I attended the monthly festival at Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine. This is the Nagori-zakura, set up in conjunction with the annual festival at the Gokoku Shrine. It was taken on April 12th.

The tart crust is layered with homemade marmalade jam and topped with cinnamon crumble. It has a wonderful aroma of cinnamon and marmalade.

In the end, I encountered the gently swaying weeping cherry blossoms against a backdrop of blue sky.
Watching the petals flutter down makes me feel a bit lonely, but I'm glad I could capture this moment in a photo...
The seasons pass quickly, but I think I will keep this spring scenery in my heart forever.

Taken on April 12, 2014 (Heisei 26). This is the Reitaisai (annual festival) held at the Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine and Gokoku Shrine.

The cherry blossom dragon of Kofun Shrine
This shrine is located deep within the forests of Kanuma City, Tochigi Prefecture. The enshrined deities are Yamato Takeru and the very rare fire prevention deity, the tengu. The tengu controls fire and is a sacred god who protects humanity from fire disasters.
The garden within this expansive shrine is known as a power spot, and on this day, I was able to capture the almost full-blooming weeping cherry tree dragon. With antlers like a deer, it truly resembles a divine messenger.💖

When I visited Shusse Inari Shrine, they were performing a traditional music demonstration.
It seemed quite auspicious.

Behind Kawagoe Hikawa Shrine, there were flower rafts on the Shingashi River.
It's the last chance to see the cherry blossoms.

At Hakojima Retarding Basin, cherry blossoms were in full bloom, spreading their branches wide by the pond, while rapeseed flowers bloomed at our feet.
In the calm, windless moments, the spring scenery gently reflected on the water's surface, allowing us to feel both the tranquility and vibrancy unique to spring in Japan.
The combination of the pale pink of the cherry blossoms and the vivid yellow of the rapeseed flowers was striking, inspiring me to capture the beauty of this season when nature awakens all at once.
