[About Bamboo Shoot Picking 2025 and Bamboo Cutting and Shredding Work] Preparations are underway in the park this year to hold the bamboo shoot picking event again. The day before yesterday, we carried out bamboo cutting and shredding work. The cutting work involves thinning out old bamboo to expose the ground surface to sunlight. (Rising ground temperature is necessary for bamboo shoot growth.) The cut bamboo has its branches and leaves removed and is fed into a shredder to make bamboo chips.
