The magpie often seen in Tomakomai. In Japan, it had been breeding for many years in limited areas like Saga Prefecture, but it has started to be seen in Tomakomai for about 20 to 30 years. About the size of a pigeon, it has a stylish black and white body with long tail feathers that shimmer blue to green depending on the light✨. You might find it perched on power lines near the Tomakomai Tourist Information Center, so be sure to look for it! (Image provided by Roadside Station Utonai-ko)

We will make 300 chiffon cakes. The Spring Nishiokoppe Marche was held at the entrance of the Roadside Station "Kamu". What I look forward to every time is the fluffy chiffon cake, which can only be found at the marche. I visited Yumemura Mori no Garden, the vendor, to see them making chiffon cakes. Over the three days of the marche, they sold an incredible 300 chiffon cakes! They offered two types: plain and chocolate chip, with 150 of each. Yumemura Mori no Garden, also known as "Mori-Gā", also sold wild vegetable tempura soba and udon, yamame tempura, and Setoushi-kun grilled. I was amazed not only by the variety of items for sale, but also by the number of eggs used. (I heard they brought in over 600 eggs for this marche...) First, they weighed the ingredients for one batch to bake in the oven. Birch sap harvested in the village was one of the ingredients. Then, they mixed the ingredients and poured them into the molds. Egg whites and yolks were mixed separately in different bowls, and once the meringue had risen, they combined them at the end... it's a meticulous method. While baking, they proceeded to prepare the next batch... From gathering at 8 AM to packaging, it took about six hours! This chiffon cake, popular among the villagers, was completely sold out early on the third day of the marche. Fluffy and, when placed in the mouth, the gentle sweetness spreads throughout. The next time we meet will be at the autumn marche in September. Please look forward to it. #Yumemura Mori no Garden #Spring Marche #Baking

[Spring Marche 2026] How did everyone spend the Golden Week holidays? From May 2nd (Saturday) to May 4th (Monday), the Spring Nishiokoppe Marche was held at the entrance of Nishiokoppe Roadside Station "Kamu." The first day had a cloudy sky with light rain, the second day was warm and sunny, and the third day saw snow following rain. While the weather wasn't ideal for a market, many people from both inside and outside the village visited the roadside station and stopped by the marche 🙌 With the chilly temperatures, the red wine stew made with deer meat and the wild vegetable tempura udon were particularly comforting 🍜 In addition to items to eat on the spot, there were also baked goods and sweet potato snacks available for takeout, along with a children's festival booth! Looking back, the light-hearted conversations with the people I was working with made for a truly enjoyable three days. I received a lot of energy from customers saying, "It was delicious!" Let's meet again at the Autumn Marche in September!

Mojiko Sunset People capturing the sunset illuminating the Retro Lighthouse at the West Coast Breakwater Photo taken on March 21, 2026 While I was taking a close-up of the lighthouse lit by the sunset, someone noticed what I was photographing. Just as I thought, "Alright, I've got it," and looked away from the viewfinder, I was spoken to, so I stepped aside to let them have the spot and instinctively took another shot I don't know who they are, but I hope I captured a favorite shot that reminds me of Mojiko.

Arceus Gameplay
🌌 Game Background and Worldview Hisui Region: This is the adventure stage of the game, which will become the well-known "Sinnoh Region" in the future. Ancient Times: During this period, humans were filled with fear of Pokémon, and concepts like Pokémon trainers or Pokémon leagues did not exist. Galaxy Team: Players will join an investigation organization based in "Jubilife Village" with the goal of creating the first Pokémon Pokédex for the region.
🎮 Core Gameplay and Innovations Seamless Capture: Players can crouch and hide in the wild to throw Poké Balls and capture Pokémon without necessarily entering battle. Action Combat: Wild Pokémon will directly attack the protagonist, and players must dodge by rolling. New Combat System: Introduces the "Mighty" and "Swift" mechanics, which can change the power of moves and the order of actions. Ace Pokémon: Players need to throw "Luminous Orbs" to calm the rampaging "King" or "Queen" Pokémon.
🦅 Starters and Hisuian Forms Initial Starters: The Pokémon provided by Professor Laventon are Rowlet, Cyndaquil, and Oshawott. Final Evolution Forms: These three Pokémon will have unique "Hisuian forms" and new types when they evolve in the Hisui Region. Special Pokémon: The game includes several new Pokémon and regional forms exclusive to the Hisui Region (such as Hisuian Zoroark and Wyrdeer).
👑 Final Goals: Complete the Arceus Pokédex: Players need to capture all Pokémon in the Hisui Region (a total of 242). Divine Showdown: After completing the Pokédex, players can go to the Space-Time Altar and blow the Celestial Flute to face the creator god "Arceus" in the final challenge battle and capture it.
🛠️ New Player Starting Tips and System Utilization Tips Collecting Materials: Fruits and ores on the map are the basis for making Poké Balls and medicines. Since funds are scarce in the early game, players should gather materials rather than buy them. Expanding Inventory Space: Return to the Galaxy Team headquarters in Jubilife Village and find an NPC to pay for expanding inventory slots. This should be the top priority for saving money in the game. Quick Mount Switching: After obtaining a Hisuian mount, players can quickly switch between mounts with different functions by pressing the left joystick (D-Pad) left or right. Mass Release in Pastures: Once the Pokémon storage (pasture) is full, players can use the "Mass Release" function to gain a large number of "Battle Items" used to enhance abilities.
🎯 Hisui Region Capture and Combat Guide Back Attack Capture: Crouch and use the grass for concealment, then throw heavy balls (like the Heavy Ball) from behind the Pokémon to significantly increase capture chances. Use Support Items Wisely: When facing alert or powerful boss Pokémon, throw "Oran Berries" to attract their attention, or use "Sticky Globs" or "Mud Balls" to tire them out before capturing. Mastering Swift and Mighty: In battle, "Swift" allows for an earlier next action but reduces power; "Mighty" delays action but increases power, requiring adjustments based on the action bar dynamics.
💰 Quick Money-Making and Leveling Methods Farming the Three Sisters in Obsidian Fieldlands: After completing the game for the first time, players will randomly encounter the three thief sisters on the map. Defeating them can consistently yield high-value "Gold Pearls." Challenging Space-Time Distortions: Randomly appearing space-time distortions on the map drop "Star Fragments" and "Comet Fragments," which can be collected and sold for a large amount of money. High Experience Battles: Go to the Alabaster Icelands or Coronet Highlands to defeat high-level bosses like Chansey, Blissey, or Snorlax to quickly infuse the entire team with experience.
Oh, by the way, if you have any questions, please verify online.

Do you have any impressions of Pikmin from Japan? Since the release of the Pikmin mobile version, everyone has been eager to play
the Pikmin mobile version
1 Gameplay Methods
There are actually many ways, and I will introduce a few
Cultivating Pikmin (Walking and Pulling Out)
Obtaining Flower Buds: While walking, you will automatically collect "flower buds" on the map and place them in the "cultivation slot" in your backpack.
Cultivation and Pulling Out: Walk with the flower buds to reach a specific number of steps (for example, \(1000 \sim 10000\) steps), and once the flower buds mature, you can click "Pull Out" to obtain Pikmin.
Feeding and Leveling Up: Click the whistle to select Pikmin and feed them fruit essence (essence can be obtained from exploration). Well-fed Pikmin will bloom flowers on their heads, and continuous feeding will increase their friendliness. When the friendliness is full, Pikmin will go out to look for "gifts" on their own and turn into decorative Pikmin.
Planting Flowers (Decorating the Map)
Starting to Plant Flowers: Click the "Flower" icon in the lower right corner, select petals, and press ▶️ to start.
Walking to Plant Flowers: As you move, the path the character walks will bloom flowers, and the petals will deplete over time. Even if you close the app, the flower planting will continue until the petals run out.
Collecting Petals: After feeding Pikmin flower essence, click on the flowers blooming on their heads to collect petals.
Exploration and Challenges (Obtaining Resources)
Exploration: Pikmin will remember the locations of fruits and flower buds along the walking route. Click the "Explore" feature to send Pikmin to retrieve these resources.
Mushroom Battles: "Mushrooms" will appear on the map, and you can send nearby Pikmin to "challenge the mushrooms" and destroy them to obtain special nectar and other rewards.
Social and Passive Gameplay
Community Interaction: You can form teams with friends to participate in "Weekly Challenges" (such as accumulating steps), and even if you are not together, you can achieve the goal together.
Passive Following: You don't need to keep staring at the screen; once you set up flower planting, you can put your phone in your pocket and walk. The system will count the background steps without needing to open the app intentionally.
Important Notes:
Speed Limit: If the speed exceeds \(20\) kilometers per hour (such as driving), the step count and flower planting efficiency will significantly decrease. Location Services: The game requires location services (GPS) to walk on the map.
Gameplay Background
Background Running for Flower Planting: After starting the "Plant Flowers" mode, you can put your phone in your pocket, and the program will run in the background. Even if the screen is locked or the app is closed, the system will record walking distance and flower planting data.
Walking to Hatch Pikmin: Collect flower buds in daily life and accumulate steps by walking to cultivate them into cute Pikmin.
Exploration and Mushroom Challenges: Pikmin will remember the locations of fruits and flower buds along the way. Players can send Pikmin to "challenge mushrooms" to obtain essences and limited items.
Community and Map Interaction: While walking and planting flowers, a scene of blooming flowers will appear along the way. If you plant flowers together with other players, you can also share the flower map on the map.
Daily Life Habits: The game is designed to make walking fun and is suitable for commuting to work or shopping daily.

Manda Pit is a place where you can feel the history of coal mining that continued through the Meiji, Taisho, and Showa eras. Today, it is a quiet historical site, but in the past, coal was mined and transported here, supporting many jobs that contributed to local life and Japan's industry. By walking around and observing the remaining buildings and equipment, you can experience a history that textbooks alone cannot convey. Untouched Hokkaido -Mizu no Kamuy Tourism Area-
May. 14, 2026
The season of sea of clouds is coming‼︎☁️ Let me introduce the magnificent panorama spots that fill Lake Kussharo and Lake Mashu (around June to October). ☁️Stay in Teshikagacho and head to the sea of clouds spots☁️ In Teshikagacho, you can see the sea of clouds at Lake Mashu during the early mornings from June to October. The Mashu and Kussharo area has several observation decks where you can overlook the mist gathered in the caldera from above, allowing you to enjoy the sea of clouds from various angles. 【Lake Mashu No. 1 Observation Deck (Lake Mashu Kamuy Terrace) & 3rd Observation Deck】 Lake Mashu maintains relatively low water temperatures throughout the year. When the warm summer temperatures and sunlight warm the air above the lake surface, updrafts are likely to occur. As a result, the area becomes enveloped in mist, creating the "Misty Lake Mashu." It is a rare phenomenon for mist to accumulate as a "sea of clouds" over Lake Mashu. At the 3rd observation deck, if the season and conditions align, you can see the double sea of clouds over the Kussharo caldera. If you're lucky, you might also catch a glimpse of the elusive waterfall mist flowing into Lake Mashu. *Image 1 【Tsubetsu Pass Observatory】*Image 2 The view of the sea of clouds from the 947-meter observation deck is breathtaking! It's the best time to witness the divine sea of clouds at sunrise. The scenery captivates fans. Around July 1st / 3:45 AM, August 1st / 4:15 AM, September 1st / 4:45 AM 【Bihoro Pass Observatory】*Image 3 This is the place to see the vast sea of clouds! As a world-renowned scenic spot, Lake Kussharo is so large that it cannot fit into the viewfinder. It's the best spot to see the big sea of clouds. 【Mokoto Pass Observation Deck】*Image 4 You can see the sea of clouds even if you sleep in a bit! With a higher elevation than Tsubetsu Pass, and after sunrise at Tsubetsu Pass, you can take photos with the light coming from this direction. Depending on the cloud conditions, you can also observe the flow and collision of clouds. 🚨Be fully prepared‼︎ Not only during seasonal changes like spring and autumn, but early mornings can be surprisingly cold. Please dress as warmly as possible. If it gets too hot, you can take off layers, but strong winds may prevent you from staying at the location. Layering your clothing for easy adjustments is recommended. For more details, please check Teshikagacho Navi.
