[Kanagawa] Hokule'a Shonan / 5 Star PADI Scuba Dive Center
May. 25, 2025
✨ The mysterious blue Squid spawning season has arrived ✨ From Spring to summer, the drama of life unfolds in the sea. 🌸🌊 From April to June, this season is the spawning season for blue Squid. It is a precious time to encounter a special sea scene that will remain in your heart "Only now". The first time I experienced diving was just during the spawning season of this blue Squid. 🦑 Swimming softly in the water, and a silent ritual to connect lives. I even now remember being overwhelmed and gasping for breath at the mystery of the sea. The female of the blue Squid is escorted by the male, At the base of seaweed, in the crevices of corals, and in the spawning beds set up by fishery cooperatives, Eggs that look like white pearls are carefully laid one by one. 🤍 Its appearance is fantastic, yet somehow ephemeral. There are males who swim alone. It is a male whose courtship did not come true. Under the straightforward instinct of connecting lives, a quiet "choice of life" is taking place in the sea. 🐚 Having finished laying eggs, the female finishes her role and quietly closes her life. When you witness the moment of "risking your life to connect your life", the back of your chest gradually warms up. You will be deeply moved by the great power and mystery of the sea. 🏝️ At Hokule'a Shonan, we carefully guide you to the spawning scene of blue Squid unique to this season every year. Because of the small number of people, we deliver a "sea experience" that you can observe closely. 📷 That atmosphere, that quiet impression that cannot be conveyed by photographs. Please try it out in Water. And so that first-timers and those with blanks can participate with peace of mind, The instructor will support you 💁 ♂️💁 ♀️ 🌿 At this time of year, when the water temperature and transparency begin to stabilize, it is ideal for diving. 🌊 A special Impression that you can never experience on land awaits you. Why don't you go and see the "baton of life" unfolding in the sea together? The once-in-a-lifetime story of the blue Squid will surely remain deep in ✨ your heart #VisitJapan #KanagawaTravel #ManazuruDiving  #ExploreJapan #ScubaDivingJapan #HokuleaShonan #TokyoDayTrip #JapanNature #OceanAdventure #TravelToJapan #JapanBeachLife #DiscoverJapan #HiddenGemsJapan

Today, May 26th, is “Gensen Kakenagashi Onsen Day” — a day celebrating natural hot springs that flow directly from their source.♨✨ Introducing the hot springs of Shobara City, Hiroshima Prefecture (including facilities that are not gensen kakenagashi), in two parts: front and back. 1. Refresh House Tojo (Photos 1–4) This facility features a heated pool, a training gym, and a cafeteria. The onsen is a silky alkaline simple spring said to help with neuralgia, muscle pain, and recovery from fatigue. The cafeteria serves dishes such as chicken nanban set meals, offal set meals, katsu curry, udon, soba, and ramen. Address: 2538-1 Awata, Tojo-cho, Shobara City Phone: 08477-2-1288 Day-use soaking hours: 10:00–21:00 ※ Pool and gym are open 13:00–20:00 Day-use fees: Adults 570 yen, Children 310 yen ※ Full facility use: Adults 990 yen, Children 520 yen 2. Hibagon-go Onsen Suzuran no Yu (Photos 5–7) This onsen offers a bubble bath, jet bath, sauna, and cold bath, and happily provides gensen kakenagashi. The surrounding area is great for mountain walks and outdoor activities, so you can enjoy nature and then soak here. On Wednesdays, day-use fees are about half price. Address: 152-10 Misaka, Saijo-cho, Shobara City Phone: 0824-84-7070 Day-use soaking hours: 10:30–21:00 ※ In winter from 12:00 Day-use fees: Adults 620 yen, Children 310 yen ※ Wednesdays: Adults 360 yen, Children 150 yen 3. Takamo Onsen Unoko-so (Photos 8–9) Founded in Taisho 15 (1926), this long-established ryokan is also popular as a summer retreat. It does not offer onsen-only day-use, but you can enjoy the hot spring together with a meal. The location, with the Saijo River flowing before the ryokan and majestic mountains beyond, is breathtaking. The baths are slightly larger than typical home tubs. Enjoy the retro atmosphere and relax at a leisurely pace. Address: 369 Takamo-cho, Shobara City Phone: 0824-74-0753 Day-use soaking hours: 10:00–15:00 Day-use fees: Meal and bathing set 4,000–6,000 yen ※ Reservation required 4. Shinohara Ryokan Takao no Yu (Photos 10–12) This hidden gem has long been visited by locals to relieve fatigue from farm work or to aid in treating illnesses. The strongly alkaline spring is notable for its high cleansing effect, removing old skin keratin. Both the men’s and women’s baths are sized for about two to three people and are often reserved for private use, so why not unwind freely and relax? Address: 52 Takao, Saijo-cho, Shobara City Phone: 090-5265-7930 Day-use soaking hours: 9:00–17:00 Day-use fees: Adults 500 yen, Children 300 yen ※ Half-day ticket (1,000 yen) and full-day ticket (1,200 yen) include access to the rest area.

"The landscape of Japan that has been passed down from generation to generation" is "Kagefuji" When it comes to Mount Fuji, I think most climbers are looking for the light. However, I am more attracted to this evening's shadow Fuji than to the coming light. The shadow of Mount Fuji, one of the symbols of Japan, can only be seen by climbing. And the biggest shadow in No.1 in Japan! It is the shadow Fuji in the evening seen from the 8th station of the Mount Fuji Yoshida route, Elevation of about 3400 meters. Scene of the shadow of Mt. Mount Fuji gradually extending. September 10, 2023 16:44~17:53

At Kawagoe Kumano Shrine. Even though it was October, there were strips of Tanabata decorations. Among them, a strip of paper called "World Peace" caught my eye, so I took a picture of it. It is precisely because of this era of wars and conflicts that the culture of Tanabata of praying may be ingrained in our hearts. Because Japan is a country that has learned greatly from past wars, I pray that Japan will not be involved in a war.

Hello! I'm a tourist association staff ☆ By the way, the Wild vegetables season in Shinano Town has reached its final stage, and the season of [Bamboo shoot] has begun! What is "Bamboo shoot"? Young bamboo of "Chishimazasa". In areas where there is a lot of snow, the roots bend under the weight of the snow when the shoots of Chishimazasa grow, so it is called "Nemagari bamboo", and in Shinano Town, it is called "Bamboo shoot". In Shinano Town and other areas, it is often eaten as [Bamboo shoot soup]. Bamboo shoot and miso soup with potatoes, etc. Bamboo shoot soup is essential: canned mackerel (boiled in water) Canned mackerel in miso soup!? If you don't like it, please give it a try. I'm surprised at how delicious it is (^^ ♪ You don't need to remove lye, but please remove the hard knots and puff before eating. (It's a poor illustration, but it's written about peeling and dullenization, so please refer to it) Since it is a blessing of the mountains, the daily harvest and shipment volume are different. If you find it at a direct sales, please pick it up.
