Although it’s called a ranch, it’s essentially a mountain. You can watch cows stride confidently across steep slopes and through thickets, and the wide natural landscape—full of insects and thick branches that make you want to pick them up—invites curious children to romp and run with delight. There are about five to ten cows on the ranch. From spring through autumn they graze on fresh grass in the pastures, and in winter they eat hay. All the animals are Jersey cattle. Deryuhara Benten Pond in Sano City, Tochigi Prefecture Designated as a natural monument designated by Tochigi Prefecture in Showa 31. This is my first Yamaga Lantern Festival. I didn't do any homework, and I went with a crazy piece of equipment with a tripod pear 85mm single focal length. I vowed to bring a telephoto lens with me this year.

In 2024, I went to see the Yamaga Lantern Dance for the first time. The dancers dancing in matching costumes with lanterns made of Washi paper on their heads were very nice.

I was doing construction work very close to Aoyama 1-chome Station.
