One team stands at the starting position and takes just over an hour to finish. How much preparation and effort did we put into this parade over the past year? 2024/08/24 Edogawa Fireworks Festival I headed to the venue from Asakusa, which was supposed to be nearby, an hour before the launch start time, but what a crowded yellowtail. I was in a hurry, but the Edogawa bank to the venue went on endlessly. When I was halfway through the program, I was finally able to sit down in the seat where I had bought a ticket. In the dark night sky, there are a hundred flowers of fire. The ephemeral light of a thousand purple crimsons, the ephemeral afterimages, and the memories that burn into the eyes. A distant summer day overlaps the back of an engrossed young child.

The Variety Show Returns Nishiokoppe Village’s variety show was held for the first time in five years. A huge, huge, huge success!!!! Why it stopped They say there were many reasons: the infectious disease, budget cuts, a shortage of performers… and more. Thanks to a lot of cooperation, they managed to overcome those obstacles and held the event safely. The show opened with the revival of Uenshiri Daiko, returning after 20 years. Though their performance lasted only five minutes, it was full of power and perfectly suited to open the event. There were many other acts covering a wide range of genres, from children to adults, and seeing friends and acquaintances happily take the stage warmed everyone’s hearts. Some intense performances even made little children cry! In the second half, the karaoke section livened things up. You could get lost in beautiful voices, or join in with call-and-response and enjoy it together. The finale closed with everyone in the venue singing the village festival song together and a lucky-money toss. September 23 (Mon) Red spider lilies announcing the start of autumn 🍁 Hello everyone 🤗! Gokase Town had an intense thunderstorm yesterday ⛈️, and today dawned bright and clear with a refreshing breeze 😌☀️! The atmosphere has completely shifted to autumn 🍁 — it feels so pleasant… ✨ Along the roadside in Gokase Town, as autumn approaches, you can sometimes spot striking red flowers 👀 — red spider lilies ☺️💡 So today I photographed the red spider lilies blooming near Yuuhi-no-Sato Ohashi bridge in the Kuwanochi area 📸💫 As their name suggests, red spider lilies reach their peak around the equinoctial week and are known as flowers that announce the start of autumn; they are also called lycoris or manjusha-ge 🤔 Their vivid red color and distinctive shape really catch the eye 👏 When I was shooting, various swallowtail butterflies swirled around them, creating an incredibly beautiful scene 🥹✨ Because their bulbs are poisonous, people have long planted them around rice paddies, fields, and graves to deter moles, so they carry a traditional Japanese charm that stirs nostalgic feelings when you look at them 😌… Spring and autumn especially bring out the beauty of plants — they are wonderful seasons 🍁. Visited on 9/15/24. It is a rice set (+ fried chicken) from Tomori Shokudo. The miso soup and side dishes with many vegetables are also delicious. It is a set meal with a good nutritional balance. 😊
