Fireworks Reflected on the Water at the Kihoku Lantern Festival
A fireworks display at the Kihoku Lantern Festival, a summer festival held in the town of Kihoku in Mie Prefecture. The beautiful fireworks that color the night sky and reflect on the surface of the water make for a beautiful picture. This photo makes us think of the many people who shared the excitement of the fireworks, and we can't help but wonder what their expressions must have been as their faces were lit up by the dazzling display.

Sayonara From the Ogasawara Islands
An island in Ogasawara, Tokyo, which takes 24 hours to reach by ferry. This is a photo taken as the ferry departed from the island and headed back to Tokyo. Yui NA's comment also expresses a feeling of longing to return. This work shows the connections that we have with others.

Akashi Kaikyo Bridge and Sunset From a Boat
Akashi Kaikyo Bridge connects the city of Kobe and Awaji Island in Hyogo Prefecture. Here we see the sunset captured from the deck of a boat with the sound of the waves gently lapping at the hull. The sky and the sea are colored with a warm orange light. Although the sunset can be somewhat melancholy, for some people, the sunset can evoke a feeling of spiritual healing. This is a work that seems to soothe the mind.

Okama Crater on Mt. Zao
Mt. Zao, home to hot springs and ski resorts, is a mountain range that straddles Miyagi and Yamagata Prefectures. The circular crater lake is called "Okama," meaning "cauldron," because of its shape. On a clear day, the surface of the lake glows a beautiful emerald green. This picture, which shows a bright smile in cloudy weather, was created by Julius from Australia. It seems to have been one of their favorite travel destinations in Japan.

The Yamaga Lantern Dance at Dazaifu Tenmangu Shrine's Tanabata Banquet
Women with traditional Yamaga lanterns on their heads on the approach decorated with gorgeous Tanabata decorations.
They dedicate their dances in a fantastic atmosphere. The Tanabata Festival and Tanabata Banquet, held for the first time in several years in Dazaifu, Fukuoka, must have shone brightly along with the wishes made on the tanzaku strips. Karufu's (かるふ) emotion is reflected in their work.
