Winter in Shirakawa Township Photo taken on 2022.02.26 Shooting from the Hagijo Observation decks Since it was free, chronic traffic jams began to occur due to Car parking for long periods of time, so parking spaces are currently Car Closed in Hagigi Observation decks. The usual parking lot near the Village Car closes in the evening, so I had to Accommodation to the Village and walk up to the Observation decks to take this view. You can also use paid coin parking, so it would be nice to be able to go by Car.

Small Autumn (Rainy Saihouji) Neighborhood Information (wry smile). If the timing is right, you can see the three colors of red, yellow, and white red spider lililies at the same time. In addition, there are also peach-colored red spider lililies. The roof of the mountain gate, bell tower, and Main Shrine is Thereare with thatched roofs. Shingon Sect Saihoji Temple is a historic temple that was founded about 800 years ago and then moved to Kohoku Ward, Yokohama City about 500 years ago. It is also called the "temple of flowers" with cherry blossoms in Spring, four-colored red spider lililies in autumn, and roubai in winter.

This looks like a really cool place to visit in Yamanashi if you're heading over to Mt. Fuji or the five lakes. Apparently this place Saiko Iyashi no Sato Nenba was destroyed by a landslide caused by a typhoon in the 60s but was rebuilt some 40 years later. Looks like there's a bunch of stuff to do as well: museums, galleries, craft making experiences, etc. I'm curious as to whether or not the thatched roofs are constructed the same way as the Gassho-zukuri roofs of Shirakawa-go and Gokayama, as they look very similar. I bet it'd look really nice in the winter when it snows and there's also cherry blossoms in the area so that'd be nice for visiting in the spring. Looks fun!
