COOL JAPAN VIDEOS Photo Contest PR
Jan. 6, 2023
Introducing the photos posted on "Everyone's Post"! This is a pickup post of the inbound tourism information SNS "Cool Japan Video". Today, I would like to introduce "Koichi Hakuchuu's post "Snow and Kaminarimon." The snowy landscape, large lanterns, and scenery of Nakamise Street are fantastic photos. Kaminarimon (Kaminarimon) is the main gate of Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo. The official name is Furaijinmon, and it comes from the fact that the god of wind is on the right and the god of thunder is on the left side facing the gate. The large red lantern with the word "Kaminarimon" written on it in the center of the gate is 3.9 meters high, 3.3 meters wide, and weighs about 700 kg. It is a popular tourist spot as a symbol of Asakusa. Kaminarimon has a long history, and the first Kaminarimon was built in 941. After that, it was repeatedly destroyed and rebuilt, and the current Kaminarimon gate was rebuilt in 1960. From the end of Kaminarimon to the entrance of Sensoji Temple, "Nakamise Street" that runs for about 250 meters is popular with tourists for eating and gourmets! A variety of gourmet dishes such as fried buns, okaki, and kibidango are lined up, and the strawberry daifuku skewer with a love lottery at the manju restaurant "Kikusuido" has become a hot topic on SNS! You can enjoy strawberries, castella, and daifuku at once. The standard doll grill as a souvenir of Asakusa is also recommended in bite-sized pieces and easy to eat. ◆Kaminarimon (風雷神門)◆ 【Address】〒111-0032 2-3-1 Asakusa, Taito-ku, Tokyo 【Access】 Tobu Skytree Line: 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station Tokyo Metro Ginza Line: 5-minute walk from Asakusa Station 【Parking Lot】Yes: Kaminarimon Underground Parking Lot, in front of Kaminarimon Be careful of crowds between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and public holidays. Asakusa is a sacred place 😊 for the anime "Sarazanmai" "Sarazanmai" is an anime that was broadcast on Fuji TV's "Noitamina" frame from April ~ June 2019. It is an original anime work by director Kunihiko Ikuhara, who worked on "Revolutionary Girl Utena" and others. "Sarat!" used as a decisive line is an 🐸 amane that tends to be said. In the work, there are many sightseeing spots in Asakusa that actually exist! Kaminarimon, Matsuya Ginza, Tool Street, Hanayashiki, Kappabashi Kotaro Statue, Azuma Bridge, etc. ... Therefore, I have photographed Azuma Bridge when I made a pilgrimage to the Holy Land before and the cat that appears in the work, so I would like to introduce 🐱 it. In the article cited, you can see the tool street shopping street that appeared in the work, and at the end, you can see the "Kappabashi Kotaro Statue"! (The details were written in the article, so I will omit them here) The "Kappabashi Kotaro Statue" comes out as the main place where the main characters gather, Actually, it was suddenly in the middle of the tool street shopping street, and I almost missed it w🥒 ◎Photos(1)~(5) "Azuma Bridge" appears every time as a place where the masters fight in the main story, and becomes the stage for important scenes After the pilgrimage to the Holy Land, I happened to have a chance to go nearby last year, so when I saw it, the color had changed ... 😭 It was maintained and clean, but I was a little shocked because the previous red was mysterious. But the view of the river from the bridge was great, it reminded 😂✨ me of the last time. I would like to go again when the world calms down a little more. I haven't visited all the holy places, so I want to ☕ go to coffee heaven next. Even if you don't know "Sarazanmai", Asakusa has many things to see. I think 😊 it's fun to stroll around the paths and shopping streets.

Had a blast going to Sensoji Last year and had some really good ramen in the area as well. Would have loved to go this year as well, but probably better to not. Haven't gotten to ride a rickshaw at Sensoji yet but it definitely seems like a lot of fun. I rode one with my girlfriend when we went to Hirosaki Castle a few years ago and it was a blast. The rickshaw puller? was really cool and gave us a lot of facts about the castle and told some stories and we had a really great time. I never knew about the Kabuki thief characters that were in the area. I'll have to keep an eye out for them when I get the chance to visit Asakusa again in the future. I've also wondered how comfortable the tabi shoes are too, maybe I'll pick some up next time, they look really fashionable actually! The guy pulling the rickshaw in the video was really nice as well, really cool that they have tours in English for non Japanese speakers.

Seafood Mehico Asakusa - Looks sooo delicious! I'm a huge fan of everything this dish has; bread, cheese, and chicken. Also haven't had any Mexican food in a while so it'd be nice to try some again for a change. Last time I had it in Japan was at a small restaurant in the countryside. It's quite different than the Mexican food in America but just as delicious (probably more) and the portion sizes are much healthier 😆 I noticed it also seems like the ingredients are usually more... refreshing? It's hard to explain but it feels like the ingredients are of a higher quality overall. Maybe I can enjoy some for the holidays if I'm lucky!
