This is the Nio statue at Pumon-ji Temple in Toyohashi City, Aichi Prefecture. It is carved from wood and was created during the Edo period, making it a work from 350 years ago.

This afternoon, the sunlight is gentle as I stroll along the rice paddies, only to realize that autumn has quietly arrived. The rice in the fields hangs low with plump ears, a sea of gold undulating in the wind, rustling softly as if whispering the labor and harvest of this season. The red spider lilies by the field are in full bloom, their vibrant petals curling outward, and the slender stamens resembling flames. It is said that these flowers bloom just in time around the autumn equinox, like a reminder of the season, signaling that harvest time has come. On the way home, the pomegranate tree in the neighbor's yard is laden with fruit, some already split open, revealing translucent red seeds that look like little gems. Further ahead, the branches of the olive trees are also heavy with green fruits, some already showing a hint of purple. These crops and flowers deeply evoke the rhythm of nature. Behind every fruit lies the patience and waiting of time. Life is similar; as long as you cultivate with care, your own autumn harvest will surely come.

In late autumn 2023, I decided to visit Minoh Falls. I thought it would be a short walk, but I found it was farther from the nearest station than I expected, making the walk a bit challenging. However, walking while enjoying the colorful autumn leaves under the clear blue sky was refreshing and lifted my spirits. When I finally reached the falls, I was even able to see a rainbow, making it an unforgettable and wonderful experience.

While waiting for my child’s extracurricular activities, I took a walk with my beloved dog and encountered the sky. The sunset was so vibrant that I couldn't help but stop and take a photo. It was an unforgettable autumn scene I came across during an ordinary day walking with my dog. Although it was still a warm day, I felt the change of seasons in this sky.

This is a photo taken when my family visited Gero Onsen Gassho Village in Gifu Prefecture. While strolling around the grounds, I discovered a sign leading to an observation deck and became curious about what kind of view I would see, so I climbed up. What I saw there was a landscape filled with mountains, trees, blue skies, and clouds. Since I usually see bustling cityscapes with buildings and many people, encountering a scene where there were no people at all and only nature spread out felt nostalgic, allowing me to experience the beauty of untouched nature. Additionally, before the COVID-19 pandemic, my family used to travel to the mountains every summer, but since then, we haven't had many opportunities to go. The moment I saw this view, memories of summer trips with my family during my childhood flooded back, and I realized that the landscapes of mountains and skies hold a special place in reminding me of our summer family vacations.

The Flower Path Leading to Mori Yume There is a road that continues from the main entrance of Hotel Rimu to the national highway. In early August, the flower beds along that road were in full bloom. The contrast of the flowers is beautiful, but my favorite is the white leaves 🍃 While looking back at my photos, I found pictures of the flower bed taken at the end of June. Comparing them was surprising 😳 I couldn't believe how different the plants looked from when they were first planted! I realized that the imagination to plant with growth in mind and the daily care help create such a lovely flower bed.
