Isehara Flower Report – March 30, 2026 Here is today's update on cherry blossom blooming in Isehara City. Somei-yoshino cherry trees are blooming beautifully across the city and are now at their best. Around Isehara Station, you can casually enjoy hanami at Isehara Daijingu, Kanzan Park, and Chizu Park. Cherry blossoms are also at their peak at Sannomiya Hibita Shrine, Hinata Yakushi, Jyohatsu-ganji Temple, the General Sports Park, and Fujiyama Park. On MtOoyama, blooms are progressing around Kasumi Bridge, while the Ooyama cherry trees are still a little short of full bloom. Along the Shibuta River, you can enjoy cherry blossoms together with moss phlox, creating a colorful, spring-like scene along the riverbank.

Isehara Flower Report 2026.03.25 Here is the latest update on cherry blossoms in Isehara City. Cherry blossoms have started blooming across the city, bringing a clear sense of spring. The weeping cherry at Mishima Shrine is blooming beautifully and is now at its best. The cherry trees at Takanoyama Park have largely come into bloom, while those at the Sports Park need a little more time to reach full bloom. Also, the Ooyama cherry is not yet blooming, so we can look forward to its flowers soon.

Many petals have fallen, leaving calyxes so the overall appearance is a soft, pale pink. The season is gradually shifting into spring.

Isehara Flower Report 2026.03.13 Here is today’s report on flower blooming in Isehara City. The mitsumata at Hinata Yakushi is in full, beautiful bloom and is currently at its best. Soft yellow flowers that evoke spring are coloring the temple grounds. At Maruyama Castle Ruins Park, a few almond blossoms have been confirmed. Many buds remain, so the peak bloom seems yet to come.

[Isehara Setsubun Festival] Yesterday, February 3rd, Setsubun festivals were held at various locations throughout Isehara City. As a traditional event to drive away evil spirits (oni) associated with illness and disaster and to pray for health and safety, the festivals drew many worshippers and became a lively, energetic day.

Ooyama Sky Lantern Event Following last week, the second Ooyama Sky Lantern will take place tomorrow, Saturday, January 24th. We are thrilled to welcome Yutaka Hozumi, the well-known reporter from FM Yokohama, as the event MC.

Otayama Sky Lantern Event Held On January 17th, the Otayama Sky Lantern event took place within the grounds of Oyama Afuri Shrine Lower Shrine. Lanterns rose into the dusk sky, casting a soft, gentle glow. Under Otayama’s clear winter sky, visitors enjoyed a magical, memorable moment. Special Open Day for Takabeya Shrine, a nationally registered Tangible Cultural Property From November 1 for one week is Cultural Property Protection Week. If you are driving, please use the temporary parking lot at the Human Resources Development Center. The grounds of Hinata Yakushi appear to have just passed their peak viewing period. Along the walking path behind the Hinata Yakushi bus stop, the flowers have also started to fade slightly. This walking path’s gate is open from 7:00 to 17:00.

If you are coming by car, please use the temporary parking lot at the Human Resources Development Center. White cluster amaryllis can be seen on the grounds of Hinata Yakushi.
