Nice to meet you all! Kumejima Visitor's Bureau. Kumejima, Kume Island a remote island in Okinawa with a population of about 7,300, is home to beautiful nature and rich culture. The Kume Island is located 100 km west of the main island of Okinawa, and access to the Kumejima is about 30 minutes by plane from Naha Airport on the main island of Okinawa to Kumejima Airport (7 flights a day). Kumejima Airport from Haneda Airport takes about 3 hours and 35 minutes. Went to the Nippara Limestone Caves (日原鍾乳洞) out in the backwoods of Tokyo. Was a really enjoyable trip and the cave was much cooler (11℃) than outside which was 30℃+. Afterwards we stopped by the drum bridge at Lake Okutama and ate at うおいち, an Oyster themed restaurant. All of the food was really delicious. Overall had a really great time

What an awesome photo. I actually read a small article on here about Akiyoshido Cave but I don't remember seeing this in the video. It looks like a really cool place to visit if I ever head out to Yamaguchi so I'd definitely love to check it out. I'm not sure if this is some sort of illumination event, but it looks like it has had some in the past so I'm assuming that's what this is. It's pretty crazy there's such a large limestone cave in Japan, but then again Japan does have a lot of mountains and pretty good snowfall each year so it makes sense that something like this would form. I haven't really been on a spelunking trip or anything like that. I've visited a few caves before, but nothing quite on this level. Looks like a cool first experience.
