First of all, the way to read Shakotan is "Shakotan". Hokkaido Shakotan-gun Shakotan occupies the tip of the Shakotan Peninsula in the Sea of Japan to the west of Hokkaido, and is a city with beautiful coastline, rich nature, fresh seafood, and a spectacular view of the "Shakotan Blue" sea, which shines blue like a jewel throughout the four seasons.
