At Manabe Garden in Obihiro, hydrangeas are beginning to bloom little by little. At the garden entrance, a gnome-like fairy known in Europe as a guardian of the garden welcomes visitors. Most of the roses have died, but the few remaining roses were carefully managed and showed me the beautiful roses at the end of summer.

The Garden of the Expo Commemorative Park is even now beautifully maintained, It seems to take the viewer to another world.

The city's facilities opened last fall. I couldn't wait to finish it and was excited. A very splendid building "Onikuru" was built. With the arrival of summer, I feel that it is becoming even brighter.

In the summer garden of my parents' house, morning glories bloomed every year. I thought that was normal, but these days, when condominiums are lined up, I don't see it so much anymore and I even feel lonely. I was delighted to see the morning glory blooming in the park.

Went to Rikugien Gardens over the weekend! The weather was really nice and the flowers were beautiful. I was hoping to see the yukitsuri, but unfortunately they'd already been taken down. We bought some bikes recently so we decided to ride them to the park. It's been really nice to get a bit of a leg workout in instead of riding trains all the time. It was only about 25-30 minutes too and we were able to avoid all of the packed trains and get some fresh air. I was pretty happy that we got to see the popular view from the top of the hill 3rd photo. I've seen many photos of it before and finally was able to see it for myself. I never knew that the park had turtles in the pond either, so that was pretty cool to see. There were a bunch swimming all over the pond, sitting on rocks, etc. We managed to spot a crane as well, but it was in a spot were we couldn't really take a good photo of it so I decided to pass and just admire it without a photo. We stopped for a short break at one of the small cafes inside the park and got a quick snack. I'm not a fan of manju, but my girlfriend likes them so she got a coffee and one sakura manju. She seemed to like it, but decided to take off the flower from the top as she didn't want to eat the petals. The melon soda float was nice too. Definitely a nice place to visit and hoping to visit again in the fall to see the leaves after they've changed color.

I forgot to post this photo as it wasn't at Asukayama Park, but it was on the way. As we were walking to Asukayama Park we looked over the side of this bridge and I saw this small little garden and just thought it was really nice. To the right of the garden there's a small French bistro that looked like a nice quiet place to grab a bite to eat but it wasn't open at the time. I was curious so I did a little research about the place and it turns out the chef used to work at the Imperial Hotel for more than 20 years. It makes sense too, because I looked at some of the food they serve at this bistro and it looks pretty darn good. I'd love to stop by when it's open. Hopefully next time I'm in the area!
