This is a photo taken of the town of Kura, which is located along the Tomawa River in Tochigi City, Tochigi Prefecture. You can also ride the boat in the photo. I couldn't get on because it was full of reservations. Old buildings and new buildings coexist around here. You can see a very beautiful cityscape. The river is beautiful and you can see the fish swimming. It is a city where you can enjoy a little old Japan.

This heavenly beautiful road is situated in nikko. The road is surrounded by the a very vibrant autumn forest. It was taken from Akechideira ropeway in nikko. It truely represents the scenic beauty of Japan.

This is the view from the Ohirayama Observatory in Tochigi City. Many cumulonimbus clouds occur in the Kanto Plain below! I was planning to photograph the Kanto Plain, which is full of blue skies and spreads far away. As expected, there were so many clouds. However, cumulonimbus clouds viewed from high places clearly show their size and height. The sense of scale left a dynamic impression.

Yuzo Yamamoto was born in 1887 (Meiji 20) in Tochigi Town (now Tochigi City), Shimotsuga District, Tochigi Prefecture. After graduating from high school, he was sent to work as an apprentice and worked as a kimono merchant in the family business, but he continued to have a desire to learn and entered the first high school. Then, I entered the Department of German Literature at Tokyo Imperial University. He started out as a playwright in the middle of the Taisho period, and entered the world of novels at the end of the Taisho period, publishing many works such as "The Wave," "A Woman's Life," and "The Truth One Road." In particular, the national work "Roadside Stone" impressed many people. It is one of the best three novels of my lifetime. If you haven't read it, please read it. The Yamamoto Yuzo Furusato Memorial Hall is located near his birthplace, and Kinryuji Temple, where his grave is located, is next to the east.

It is located right next to "Uzuma Park" along the Hamami River that flows through Tochigi City. A stone that is said to have been washed away by a flood in the Edo period is enshrined as a sacred body. In addition to protecting against the plague, it is loved by the local people as "Pimpin Korori no Koshin-sama" so that you can live a healthy life. It's a hidden gem.

In the morning, on my way home from work, according to the float hall in Tochigi City, a small but beautiful sunflower was in bloom. It is perfect for sunny periods in the rainy season. My heart cleared.

Tochigi City was called the commercial capital of the northern Kanto region. It is also known as Little Kyoto. It is also the birthplace of Yuzo Yamamoto, who wrote children's novels such as Roadside Stone. I've always been my favorite author, so I feel a connection to living here. The Uzumagawa River flows through the center of the town, and sightseeing boats also depart. Especially the carp streamers in May are famous. On the morning of May 10, when I stopped by on my way home from work, I found carp streamers still swimming in the May wind. The carp streamers reflected in the water are also wonderful. I felt joy and joy.
