Matsumae Town, Hokkaido
Dec. 11, 2023
Hello 😄 everyone Today, Matsumae Town was covered with wet and heavy snow. Full-fledged winter is still to come, but the next spring is already in the future I can't wait. This time, we will introduce 🌸 the typical cherry blossoms that can be seen in Matsumae Town 1st photo: Naden / Early blooming (late April ~ early May) The most common variety in Matsumae. When it blooms, the area around Matsumae Castle becomes gorgeous at once. 2nd photo: Amayadori / Medium bloom (early May) It is characterized by the fact that the flowers bloom downward. It blooms with stunning white large-flowered flowers. 3rd photo: Kanzan / Late bloomer (mid-May) A late-blooming double cherry blossom created in the Edo period. The dark red color attracts the eye. There are many other varieties. I would like to introduce it another time. Please look forward to✨

NICE TO MEET ALL 🌸 THE VIEWERS OF COOL JAPAN VIDEOS It is the southernmost town of Hokkaido, Matsumae Town. It is the only castle town in Hokkaido and is also known as a famous place for cherry blossoms. It takes 🏯 about 2 hours by car from Hakodate City In this first post, we will introduce 😀 the main tourist attractions of Matsumae Town ●Matsumae Castle (Fukuyama Castle) The official name is Fukuyama Castle. It is the last Japanese-style castle built in Japan in the first year of Ansei (1854). It was destroyed by fire in Showa 24, leaving the Honmaru Mikado gate, but later restoration work such as the castle tower was carried out, and the appearance of the past was revived. Currently, the inside of the castle tower is open to the public as the "Matsumae Castle Museum". ●Matsumae Park It is a park that spreads around Matsumae Castle, and is a tourist spot that has been selected as one of the "100 Best Places to See Sakura" by the Japan Sakura Association. From late April to mid-May, early blooming, middle blooming, late blooming... You can enjoy 250 species and 10,000 cherry blossoms that bloom in order, and some of them were born in Matsumae. On this page, in addition to information about events in Matsumae Town We will introduce the sightseeing spots and nature in the town. Thank you 😄 for your continued support
