Hiroshima / Hiroshima Hiroshima City / Hiroshima I took a famous photo of the streetcar in Hiroshima. The tram is often thought to be slow, but it was surprisingly fast, and I was able to capture its speed and the unique atmosphere of the night in one picture. This photo was in Hakodate. It was actually the first city in Hokkaido that I visited. I went here to celebrate my birthday ? There are nice places and delicious food here. But the thing that made it memorable happened on my last day. I lost my credit card, and i just noticed it when I got into the train station. While searching my bag and pocket, someone approached me. And, this person found my card few blocks away from the station. I just felt lucky that he found me at the right place and time. ✨ Aside from the beautiful places in Japan, I also love the honesty and kindness of the Japanese people ?

Visited Machiya again. I'm not sure why but I seem to really like the atmosphere there. I think the streetcar passing through gives it a different feel than other places. Anyways, I decided to grab some lunch and found this nice restaurant called Tokyo Local Base. I got this omurice and wow, it was probably the best omurice I've ever had. The sauce tasted really good and the egg was perfectly cooked. I wish I would have taken a photo of the inside of the restaurant because it was quite relaxing and, just like Machiya, had a really nice atmosphere. It was a bit crowded when I came, but I managed to enter the restaurant right when the lunch rush was starting to die down and so there wasn't many people by the time I got my meal. Definitely recommend checking it out if you're looking to grab a bite in the area.

Wanted to post this earlier this week, but better late than never I suppose. Was walking around Arakawa and they were having a rose festival sort of event it seemed like. Over by Arakawa Amusement Park there was a little area set up with some stalls. I didn't get to check it out but it seemed like there were a lot of people there. The amusement park was also open. I don't think I've seen it open for a while so it was nice to see people are able to visit it again. When I was passing the Arakawa tram I noticed there were tons of roses along the sides of the track that I'd never noticed before so I decided to snap this photo of the pink tram passing by with them.

Dropped by a cafe near Oji Station the other day and ordered a small chocolate cake and a tea. It looks strikingly similar to the one I had at the pasta restaurant a few days ago, with very minor differences lol. I didn't take a photo of the tea unfortunately, I was too focused on eating the cake?. I suppose it's a popular dessert combination as it seems quite easy but delicious at the same time. The cafe is called Dining Cafe Tagen (ダイニング カフェTAGEN). When I passed it on Halloween they were opening the large doors at the front of the shop and preparing some sort of Halloween event, although I wasn't able to see exactly what was going on with it. They had a big speaker as well, so maybe they were going to sing and give candy away lol. I'm not really sure though. I think they were wearing costumes as well, it looked pretty interesting. It's a nice place though. It can be a bit cramped at times but otherwise it's a nice place to go for a coffee and dessert if you're in the area. You can also take the streetcar (Tokyo Sakura Tram) to get there as well which is a plus!

Cool photo, this reminds me of the street car in Arakawa and the one in Hakodate as well. I didn't realize there was so few street cars left in Japan until recently. I saw somewhere about someone hyping up riding the street car in Arakawa and having ridden it several times myself I was kind of surprised I'd never realized that it's not very common in Japan anymore. I know there's the one in Enoshima as well but unfortunately I didn't learn about it until I'd already traveled there so I'll need to go back again so I can catch a ride under it. There's more stuff I want to do around the island anyways and there's a ton of great places to grab some food as well. This streetcar has some interesting designs on it though, can't make out what they are unfortunately but it looks nice. I'd like to go for a ride on it and I need to visit Nagasaki anyways so I guess it works out!
