Okayama Korakuen Garden is one of the three most famous gardens in Japan in Okayama City. Every year from August 1st to 31st, the summer night illumination event "Fantasy Garden" is held. Located in Ugo Town, Akita Prefecture, Nishi Baonnai Bon Odori is a summer festival with a history and tradition of more than 700 years, which is counted as one of the three major Bon Odori dances in Japan along with the Gujo Odori of Gifu Prefecture and the Awa Odori of Tokushima Prefecture. The venue is Nishimaonnai Honmachi Street, which is the central village of Ugo Town, and it is a bon event held for 3 days from August 16th ~ 18th every year. It was mysterious and gorgeous to see dancers dressed in distinctive torioi hats (knitted hats), colorful and beautifully stitched kimonos and yukatas, dancing gracefully to the beating of taiko drums and songs. Especially this year, as it was the first regular event in four years, people from outside the town were able to participate in the dance, and many people from inside and outside the prefecture came to see it. Sapporo Summer Festival The "Sapporo Summer Festival" was held at Odori Park from the mountain day on August 11 to August 16. At the 2-chome venue, the Hokkai Bon Odori was held, and many people danced the Bon Odori in a circle. There were many people, regardless of age or gender, and foreigners who wore kimonos coolly, and I thought that it was a culture that Japan is proud of.

No season is offseason for Japan. In summer there are so many thing to see and do here. Last weekend I enjoyed thousand light festival at Kawagoe where the warehouse area was looked absolutely gorgeous for the lights and other stalls and stage activities. Everyone was enjoying and most of the local people wear traditional cloths too. It was truly a delightful experienced.

The first time I went to 🎶 the Mobara Tanabata Festival It was the first time in 4 years that it was held, and it was exciting! Everyone seemed to be having fun Awa Odori seeing it for the first time. I wanted ✨ to dance too. The people who finished dancing were bowing. It was very impressive. I want to see the real Awa Odori!
