Ice guardrails created by nature

The shooting location was Lake Shikotsu in Chitose City, Hokkaido, and it was early in the morning when a big cold wave of -15°C hit.
The spray of Lake Shikotsu, which was rough by strong winds, fell on the fence and gradually formed icicles.
The many icicles that form all over the fence are like guardrails.
You can see the harshness and beauty of nature uniformly

Lake Chitose Shikotsu The Ice Festival is coming soon! The Chitose Lake Kotsu Ice Festival will be 📅held on January 28~February 23, 2023 Shikotsu-Toya National Park, about 40 minutes by car from Sapporo. The ice sculptures lining the venue are created by spraying and freezing the water of Lake Shikotsu, one of the largest in Japan. Kids are popular with the ice slides, the skating rink where you can run with long boots, and the riding experience around the venue. During the Snow Festival, on Saturdays, Sundays, and national holidays, about 300 fireworks will be fired from 6:30 p.m. to depict the night sky, as well as Japanese taiko drumming performances. Hurry up and arrange a trip to play in Hokkaido~ In the evening, we recommend staying at Sapporo Kinyutei to enjoy your own vacation!
