【Gokase Towns, Miyazaki Prefecture Traditional Performing Arts】Araodori (UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage) Gokase no Araodori is a style dance that was designated as an important Intangible folk cultural assets designated by the government on January 8, Showa 62. (The prefectural designation was 1962 (Showa 37) May 15) 2021 (Reiwa 3) (2021) In February 2021, 41 "Furyu Odori" from all over Japan, including Gokase no Araodori, were selected as candidates for proposal for UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage, and in March of the same year, a proposal was submitted to UNESCO, which was 2022 (Reiwa 4) registered on November 30. "Furyu Odori" is a folk performing arts that embodies the spirit of "Furyu" that is glamorous and eye-catching, and dances to songs, flutes, Drums, and kane, etc., with a lot of attention to costumes and belongings. This Furyu Odori has been designated as a nationally designated Important Intangible Folk Cultural Asset in 42 locations nationwide (25 prefectures, 43 cities and towns), and is the only one in Miyazaki Prefecture to be designated as "Gokase no Araodori". It contains the prayers of people who wish for a peaceful life, such as disaster removal, memorial services for the dead, prayers for a good harvest, and begging for rain, and local people of all ages participate in festivals and annual events. It reflects the history and climate of each region and plays a major role as a Minamoto of regional vitality. Gokase no Araodori is said to have been started by Sakamoto Iga Mori Masayuki, the castle owner of Sakamoto Castle (upper reaches of the Mikasho River), to raise the morale of the warriors when they went to war during the Tensho year (1573~92). Later, in the Keicho year (1596~1615), his grandson Sakamoto Yamashiro Mori Irido Kyukaku decreed the Dedication to the guardian god Nikami Daimyojin (now Sankasho Shrine). At that time, it is said that the successor of the temple called "Shinbochi" was held at the funeral, and the monkeys kept in the temple were also sent to dance with him. One theory is that the dance was introduced from Sakamoto in Omi Province (present-day Shiga Prefecture), but according to the "Nichishu Takachiho Kokonbari Ranki" (Hyuga Local Historical Sources, Vol. 4), "The descendants of Sasaki Rokkaku Takayori of Omi defected to Takachiho and served the Mitai clan, and their descendants called themselves the Saho clan, the Sakamoto clan, and the Mazaki clan." However, the Sakamoto clan here is not the Sakamoto clan of Sakamoto Castle, but the Sakamoto clan of Kanegase from Mukaiyama, Restrooms available this is a Minamoto surname, not the Ōkami surname or the Fujiwara surname, but a separate lineage. The date of the rough dance... The fourth Sunday of September every year

It is a World Heritage Site, but it is lit up three times a year. The other day, there was a winter illumination event, so I went there. This time, I made a reservation half a year ago, so I was able to stay lodging in a 200-year-old gassho-zukuri minshuku, and thanks to that, I was able to fully enjoy the nostalgic original scenery of Japan. In addition to the illumination at night, the quiet early morning walk, which is only possible for those who stayed at the lodging, was exceptional.

【Shizuoka Prefecture Designated Cultural Property Former Yoda Residence】 Heisei 22 (2010) (2010) The buildings of the Yoda family residence were designated as Shizuoka Prefecture designated tangible cultural properties (buildings). A total of five buildings were targeted: the main house built 300 years ago, the detachment built as a guest room 200 years ago, and the three warehouses (utensils, rice warehouses, and miso warehouses) built at the end of the Edo period. It is said that the main house was built over 13 years around the time of Genroku, and although the exterior is a private house with sea cucumber walls that is often seen in Matsuzaki, it is a complete fireproof building with plaster to the rafters of the eaves, and a copper plate fire door is built at the eaves. This building is a large-scale private house that was used as a residence for a wealthy lord, and is the second oldest private house in the Izu area.

Hashima Island, located off the coast of Kyushu Nagasaki, is a coal mining facility that is now in ruins, called Gunkanjima because of its shape. It can be reached by boat in 40 minutes from Nagasaki Port, so you can go ashore on a tour, but from the coastline of the Nomozaki area in the southern part of Nagasaki City, you can see Gunkanjima from land. This view is also a view that I would like to keep forever, but it may not be possible to see it in a few years due to the progress of decay.

Former Kiya Takeshi Family Residence / Okinawa World Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town Okinawa World is located in Nanjo City in the southern part of Okinawa Prefecture. It is a registered tangible cultural property located in the castle town of the Ryukyu Kingdom, where red-tiled kominka houses that recreate the townscape of the Ryukyu dynasty are lined up. It is a private house built in the late Meiji era, and it is a building that miraculously survived the ravages of war in the most intense place during the war. (It was moved here from its original location.) It is now used as a hands-on workshop. There were quite a few people who experienced it ^^ It is a valuable building that I would like to preserve in the future.

Former Kiya Takeshi Family Residence / Okinawa World Ryukyu Kingdom Castle Town Okinawa World is located in Nanjo City in the southern part of Okinawa Prefecture. I went to the castle town of the Ryukyu Kingdom, which reproduces the townscape of the Ryukyu Dynasty era lined with red tile kominka, which is a registered tangible cultural property. The building in the photo is a private house that miraculously survived the ravages of war and was the site of the most intense ground battle of the Pacific War. On the pillars on the side of the corridor, the scars of shells received during the war were still vivid. (The building was moved here from its original location.) Since it was relocated, it has been used as a hands-on workshop. A very valuable building that tells the history of the Battle of Okinawa, I want to preserve it for a long time.

The five-storied pagoda of Ueno park looks very beautiful in every season. Ueno park is one of the most popular spots that hardly need any recommendations yet I want to recommend it because sometimes in a rush we somehow overlook a few things or spots that's why this post. Amid the colorless nature, the red pagoda and flower-printed Japanese umbrella in front of it formed a strangely beautiful scene.
Although the pagoda is almost covered in flowers during the sakura season, once on a peony flower exhibition day when I went there I stopped after seeing such a sight.
